  • This case is light but has good padding and protection for the instrument
This case is light but has good padding and protection for the instrument. It has multiple carrying options with a side handle, end handle, backpack straps, and a shoulder strap. There is room inside for the neck and mouthpiece in their own spaces and additional space for reeds, neck strap and other accessories. There is also and outside pocket which should fit most music books. I am very impressed and pleased with this case. ... show more

  • Good Case For The Money
My son has been playing the alto sax for five years now and his original case, that came with the sax, needed replacement. After looking at pricey cases we found this one. My son loves it! He loves the backpack feature and the front pocket that holds his music. Also, he loves that they put feet and handles on both sides so that he can lay the case down vertically or horizontally. The padding inside is sufficient too. I love the company we dealt with through Amazon and I'll tell you why. The first case that was sent to us was defective. My son went to use a zipper and the tab to the zipper broke in half. I was disappointed, but he said it was fine he'd make it work. Then the next day he used it for the first time, when I picked him up he informed me that another zipper tab broke AND that one of the seams was ripping all the way down the case. My disappointment turned to anger. I wrote the company (through Amazon) and they responded right away. They offered to send me a replacement case with a postage-paid label so that I can send the defective one back. They also said that they would look over the new case before they shipped it to me. I thought, "What do I have to lose?" We corresponded about three times and each time they replied quickly. My son has been using the replacement case for over a month and a half. He is in the marching band at high school and between practices, games, and competitions he uses the case five days a week! I do believe the company must have gotten a bad batch of cases, but the most important thing to me is that they stood behind their product 100%!!! ... show more

  • Didn't last six months
We are very disappointed in this case. It seemed ok for awhile, nice and light, fit my sone alto sax nicely; however, it rapidly started to fall apart. The main trouble is with the backpack straps. The stitching on both bottom attachments came free, and only because of my strong hand-sewing skills was I able to fix it. Now the stitching around an entire bottom corner and part of one side has come loose - this is beyond repair. My sone walks a mile to school and back with this once a week. We don’t have money to toss around and were hoping this bag would last a couple of years, alas not even 6 months. Also, the shoulder strap is very short, too small even for and average height 11 yo. ... show more

  • Saxophone Case - the next Kenny G
My 7th grader just started playing the saxophone. The hardshell case we had was broken. This softshell has been sturdy 3 months into school. All the pieces and accessories fit. A user error issue- I realized my kid was dragging it on the ground because they didn't realize it didn't have wheels... Even with dragging it the canvas still has help up remarkable. Again, that is a user error. The saxophone itself has been supported and unharmed. Great product with a reasonable price. There are handles at the top and side, and a longer strap. ... show more

  • Great Travel Case
As far as a gig bag, this does a fairly nice job. It's very light, it has a hard styrofoam structure so you don't have to worry about something hitting it and denting through the bag. The backpack straps are wonderful when traveling through airports, train stations, and on and off busses. It makes the travel much easier than lugging a wooden or plastic case around. The front pouch is great for music books, iPad, even a computer if need be. My one critique is that saxophones from different brands come in slightly different shapes and sizes. I play a yamaha pro series 62 alto and this case was about a half inch longer toward where the neck connects. I was worried about this, but after putting the case through shaking it, flipping it, bumping it around, I did not hear any rattling or shifting. For the price this is a great case. Highly recommend to those that travel a lot or just want a lighter case to hall your saxophone around. (If you take your saxophone and give it a slight even pressure down on the case, the styrofoam will mold your saxophone holding it even more so in place. Too much pressure and you may destroy the mold itself) ... show more

  • Sturdy and easy to modify
This case is pretty sturdy for a soft-back. It’s well put together with plenty of room for straps, reeds, and other necessities. Music pocket on the front is handy. The best feature, in my odd opinion, is that it’s easy to take apart. I have an antique saxophone, and so the keys and key guards are in different places on my horn. The lining of this case is screwed on with six little screws and lightly glued to the foam underneath. It was super easy to take the cover off, remove the lining, and carve out spaces where my saxophone has guards in odd places. Blow torched the foam fairly smooth after, little bit of spray-on fabric glue after that, and it was super easy to put back together. You can hardly tell it’s been cannibalized. Excellent product, I think. The easy disassembly saved me hundreds of dollars on a case that will fit my horn. Highly recommend if you need one to fit a weird horn, or if you aren’t travelling and performing with it (i.e., you aren’t banging it around in tour buses or at concerts). ... show more

  • Great case
My daughter loves this case ! Unfortunately the handle for the cross body strap broke off as soon as she tried to use it but she can still roll it like a suitcase and carry it on her back as well. It’s a lot easier for her to carry her saxophone around now
