My daughter is 8 weeks old, 2 months, fits perfectly as she already knows how to hold up her head and using her hands. She has shown much interest in playing with our older kids but hates being in the bouncer when we are doing floor play. I got this skeptical of the warning frequently returned item. I can see how one believes a chunky baby cannot fit. This is false. If you remove the tighter/looser clip and pull the straps out it can fit a bigger baby. I would recommend this for any baby who’s younger and showing same interests of playing. She seemed happy to finally be independent and would not return this item! I also bought the tray but delayed shipping. Can’t wait for all of it to be put together! 100% happy with my purchase. ... show more

Got it for our 9 month old grandchild who we are trying to help sit. He loves it and it has a lot of back support so he can sit up straight and play. Easy assembly, sturdy looks like it will be a great help for our little guy.

As others have mentioned, the ergonomics of this chair are just slightly off. I purchased the separate little tray table that goes with it and mostly use that instead of the steering wheel, although my baby has enjoyed playing with that piece for a few minutes here and there. My 5 month old baby seems fairly comfortable in this chair as long as someone is sitting close by and handing him toys to explore. I can do this while I cook, so sometimes I sit him on the counter in front of me and work on dinner while handing him toys, which makes life easier. I bought this as a travel seat since it can break down pretty flat and so far it has come in handy in that regard. My main criticism is of the waist harness; it is ridiculously inconvenient the way the designers made it. One side of the waist belt does not come out of the harness, so I have to slide my baby's left leg into the hole and then pull the right side of the belt through a tight belt loop on the harness every time I want to strap him in. Once he's in, he's good. But getting him out is also needlessly difficult as I have to lift upward and turn him to the left simultaneously to get that leg out of the hole. I feel like there are sooooo many other ways they could have designed the harness. I still use it because it is handy to be able to move it around the house or outside when I need a safe space to put him. My baby is somewhere between 16-18 lbs and at his size it seems impossible for him to tip this chair over. I have tried and it seems really stable. ... show more

This chair is great!!! Specifically, if the baby is challenged with sitting at first. The toy is hard to remove at first. and the straps would work better if you could buckle both sides instead of one. To sit the baby, you have to stand and swing the left leg in first before sitting the baby. It is a bit difficult. But the chair itself is phenomenal and comfortable for the baby. We needed a seat for our baby but this got returned. While it is very soft, the buckle to get in is tricky. It says to put baby in it from behind which is true, that is easier. But it was still hard to contend with. Not something we saw ourselves using ever.
