I like this big playmat because it fit perfectly in my baby's larger then the usual playpen. It's not sticky to the point where it'll never move out of place but it stays good enough. It is soft and has a lil thickness to it not much but comfy enlightened for baby to play or take a nap if needed.

so first off, definitely not what I would call a pad. It's more of a thick blanket with grippy material on the bottom. That's why 4 stars. HOWEVER, it is very soft and comfortable. Bought this with the hope it was thick enough to just have this in the playpen. My baby is 3months and rolls over a lot, there is no cushion in this at all. I bought this for my 8-month-old. He has been standing and trying to walk all month and in true helicopter mother fashion... I have been terrified! I've been worried he will fall and hurt himself. I have bought crawling helmets and backpack head protectors. Still haven't felt super confident in him moving around so much alone. I put a comforter under his play area to soften his fall. I saw this and order it and it has calmed my worries a lot. He doesn't seem to be hurt at all when he falls or when he loses his balance and slams down on his rear. It has been through a lot in the short amount of time I've had it. It's been peed on, thrown up on, and been pooped on. It's had food smeared in it and our dogs rubbed mud in it. It has been washed numerous times in a month and still looks and feels the same. Hasn't held any stains or odors from the atrocities it has been through. It feels comfortable to sit on and play with my baby too. Definitely kid and parent friendly. Pets seem to love it too. ... show more
