So The Boss 360 3500lb pull magnet is great that fact is very hard to argue with. It truly is a absolute BOSS of a Magnet. Is it worth the high cost... I cant answer that for you as that is complely up to the way you look at it. Are you trying to actually go magnet fishing and find things, OR are you just wanting to act like your magnet fishing? If you chose the latter of the two then no it is not worth the money. But if you actually want to have a good experiance and have any chance at all of pulling up anything larger than a nail or old fishing lure then you need a STRONG 360 magnet like this one. That is straight up just big facts welcome to the harsh reality.. other magnets like a standard double sided magnet (not to be confused with a clamp style magnet), or even the strongest of the single sided magnets just will not do what the 360 will do. Ill go ahead and help you out here DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME on a double sided magnet (aka the ones that usually have the option to attact the eye bolt to either through the casing on the side or on one side of the magnet so it is set up like a standard single sided magnet) I have tried a number of these magnets in the highest strengths they are crap they have almost ZERO real user case everything you attach to you will slide right off of. take all that for what you will spend your money on something that actually delivers results otherwise you will find yourself not enjoying magnet fishing unless you only want ot catch old nails because even lures slide right off double sided mags. JUST BUY A STRONG 360 here is the caveat, but really one from my own personal disgruntled vendetta... YES, BUY A BRUTE BOSS 360 3500lb. BUUUT... Use this magnet fishing of course but also works when you've lost something metal in the grass! Husband used this checking a lawn he was to mow, found some metal that would not have been kind to mower blades. Used it in the garage to pick up some spilled screws.

Good strength, make sure to keep other magnets away from it, to not break it. No-brainer. Nice kit, gloves are definitely not whatever level resistant they say they are. Kind of cheap. Learned that the hard way, only good for holding rope.

This is a great 360 degree magnet. It holds very well . In fact I have a floor jack and it lifts it off the ground so I would say the performance is great . Also a good value for a smaller magnet and a good price point .

I am going to preface this review by noting that I haven't actually gone magnet fishing yet. The magnet kit arrived complete, on-time, and in great condition- No chips or gouges in the magnetic element. The kit comes complete with the magnet assembly, stainless fasteners (SS304 I believe, which suits just fine in this application), rope with knotted loop ends already heat-shrinked, aluminum caribbeaners, and thread locker. If there wasn't a 24 hour cure time on the thread locker, you could go from box to magnet fishing in minutes! I would recommend purchasing a grappling hook also- This magnet catches heavier items, but it could struggle to lift those items above the water surface in instances where there is minimal, magnetic contact with the object (think bicycle frame... heavy, but tubular). ... show more

The rope included is not at all strong enough to pair with the advertised magnet strength. The magnet I purchased is advertised for 1,500 pounds yet will not support my 220lbs when connected to a structural steel I beam. How am I supposed to trust that it will keep hold of anything of weight when magnet fishing. ... show more
