The barrel of the pencil is pretty this but sturdy. I bought it mainly for the extra thick lead which is just what I wanted.

    • Nice pencil but lead refills aren’t available anywhere.
These seem just as nice as other Skilcraft pencils that I have purchased, but I didn’t take note of the lead refill size before purchasing - 1.1mm - it’s not available anywhere. After some searching online, it appears that the refills are Skilcraft No. 78865 1.1mm and not available on Amazon. In fact, Amazon does not carry 1.1mm lead refills of any kind. The closest size Amazon Carrie’s is 1.15 mm and I’m not sure if that would work. I checked other vendors and only bulk orders (minimum of 70 tubes of refills) were available. I’m not buying $70 worth of refills. I’m also not going to landfill perfectly functional mechanical pencils after the included 3-leads per pencil are spent. I’m going to attempt to return these and buy something with 0.9 mm refills instead. ... show more

Good solid feeling affordable well functioning mechanical pencil; the SkilCraft logo painted on the barrel could be of a higher quality paint to prevent wearing of the logo through mild abrasion or could consider etching/engraving it on to make it permanent.

Refills: It was hard to find, but Checkout Legendary Lead Co. Newark, Ohio for refills. So far no erasers found...

    • Before 1 starring a product, take 1 min & Google it?
“1.1 mm, 1.15 mm, and 1.18 mm pencils leads are interchangeable as their diameters are very close.” I found this answer in less than 30 seconds. I cross verified it with two additional on line resources in less than a minute and a half. I hope you don’t own a business and have someone 1 Star your product because they were lazy. ... show more
