You know the harvest is coming in and I figured these companies would be dumping their old inventory of lavender right about now. Lavender oil doesn't really have an expiration date. But you sure can tell if it's old. I put one drop on my wrist and several drops on a handkerchief. After a few minutes I could not smell any lavender from my wrist. The scent on the hanky lasted for about 3 days. Previously, I had purchased a bottle of lavender oil from a farmer. The bottle lasted 5 years before I finished it. Fresh oil - 1 year - lavender oil is a perfume. Put one drop on your wrist, you should smell it for about 6-8 hours Years 2-4 - Scent lasts on wrist for about 2-4 hours depending on age. Year 5 - scent lasts on wrist for less than an hour By this scale the Siva oil must be about 6+ years old. But it probably works fine in a diffuser. Just use it up quick.
