I used the syphon to drain gas from my snowblower into a gas tank. It only took one squeeze. The clips were helpful. I didn't see the arrow on the bulb, so I had it backwards. Once I reversed it, it was fine. The product came with no directions. It's not rocket science to figure it out, but it would have been easier with directions. Great product and super easy to use. Not a bad idea to lube up the ends a bit as they're tight to get around the outlets on the pump. Super simple set up, easy to use, and worked like a charm.

I was expecting one the suction began it would just siphon the gas… but you have to constantly pump. It gets a little achy on the hands.. the ends tubes that attach to the pump leaks a small amount of fuel so I recommend wearing gloves if you use this.

Does it work? Yes it does. As advertised? Yes. But the "bubble" is small and stiff enough that pumping any amount of liquid is a serious work out. If you don't have a hand cramp after pumping half a pint of liquid, then you must be a professional arm wrestler. I'm switching to a lever style or powered pump! ... show more

Works right out of bag,2 or 3 squeezes and liquid is flowing.Just a reminder clean out with water squeeze some through to clean it out,it will last a lot longer.

I tried this several times to siphon gas from my 15-gallon tank. I followed the instructions with an arrow towards the flow of liquid. After about 6 to 7 squeezes, it started to flow and then stopped. It does not continuously flow like the videos. I tried this several times. They need to go back to the drawing board with this design. ... show more

    • Uses to transfer hydraulic fluid from a very inconvenient inlet in Typhoon Terror XVIII excavator
First off this says Siphon pump but it will pump fluid uphill which is how I used it. I think it may be called a siphon because the fluid may run faster / easier downhill if the outlet is below the inlet but it works fine either way. The hydraulic fluid inlet on the typhoon terror XVIII excavator is at the far side of the operator cabin below a little metal door and is nearly impossible to reach and poor in fluid without spilling. This pump worked very well to transfer the fluid. I over filled a little and had to reverse and pump some back out and it worked for that too. Strongly recommend. The Diesel fuel is right next to the hydraulic fluid and I ended up spending 5 times as much for a DC powered pump for that and after using both I think I would have been better off just buying an extra one of these. Your hand can get a little tired when transferring a lot of fluid but this one is so nice and small that it is just more convenient and a lot easier to keep clean. My only real complaint is the the outlet hose should be about 3 foot longer. It would also be nicer if they included a zip close bag to hold it once contaminated with oil or fuel. ... show more
