This is the second one I ordered so clearly the product isn’t that bad. It arrived quickly and I unboxed it and waited for it to inflate. And waited. And waited. It did sort of puff up bigger than when it arrived but truly not by much. I believe it was supposed to be 3 inches but maybe I ordered a 2 inch one instead because it is definitely a scant 3 inches - like barely 3 inches. It has been a couple of weeks and I decided to unfold it all the way out to see if it will inflate more. The edges of the mat still seemed disfigured and looked “crushed” not crisp. I purchased these to use on top of portable canvas bunkbeds for my grandsons and they will be fine for that. As for using them to sleep on the floor? Hmmm…not entirely sure about that one. The material is nice and they seem well made. Only time will tell on that one. I really like the color (gray) as it matches the decor where these will be used and I do like the storage case that comes with it. It is even big enough to put a folded sheet inside with the mat. Our toddler grew out of his crib and kept falling out of toddler bed so we put this on the floor in front of his bed and he prefers it! It’s very comfortable even for adults. Also very roomy if we end up needing it for a guest etc.

Were having extra guests & first set up an airbed which was terrible and awful, would not want to sleep on that and then also memories of bad futons, lumpy and uncomfortable and no "give". This is like a bed and might even use when I move instead of getting a regular mattress. Personally I don't like memory foam, to squishy & get "trapped" when trying to move over. I like this is firm and thick. Not cheapo foam that has no resistance and you hit the floor. Try to get the covers on before they fully expand. Mind did not come with a cover so bought one seperately for storage & transportation. Kind of a velourish cover, but I covered & tucked under with sheets. None standard sizes & thickness, so not sure where to get snug fitting elastic sheets. (Cat & dog approved as well & they both tried out!) ... show more

The price tag of buying two stung a little, but these have been a great investment for slumber parties and out of town guests. Our adults have not tried sleeping on these mats yet, but both children and teenagers have complimented how comfortable they are. One teen claimed it was better than her bed at home. I don’t believe her, but it was said nonetheless. They simply unfold, much easier than a blow up mattress. Storage is tidy. We did have a bed wetting accident on one. Originally got it because my daughter would roll out of her bed. Even with a boho styled bedroom she would still roll around and with this at the foot of her bed any concern was immediately taken away. I also sleep on it when she’s falling asleep and for the most even my husband uses it when his lower back hurts too much. Lays on it flat and it helps his back out.
