This brand of gold thread was a huge surprise. As long as you use the 9014 topstitch needle. The red slides well through the needle it doesn’t break and it doesn’t shred. I enjoyed using the thread, well worth the investment.

I wish I had read the other reviews before buying this thread. It is extremely thin. Even with the slowest setting on my machine, it kept twisting and knotting going from the spool to the machine. Ultimately that would cause breakage. I even tried using an external thread mount and babysitting it by watching for and unknotting the thread. With all the breakage, a job that should have taken 15 minutes took an hour, required my constant attention, and it looks awful. Everywhere the thread broke, there are gaps in the stitching. While it is very pretty, it's not worth the headache. I would just use yellow before using this thread again. ... show more
