  • What IS that smell!? 🤢
Okay, for starters, I’ll honestly say that I have yet to find a product that completely eliminates ALL odors. But please read!! I have an extremely small condo patio with fake grass. I also have a 75lb golden who pees a lot. Over the last year, I really fell off with routine sanitizing like I’d normally do (with this product). The smell was horrendous. It smelled exactly like rotting fish! It got to the point where I was convinced there must’ve been a dead critter in between my fence slats because there was no way that could be dog pee. Spoiler: it was. I literally had no faith anything would rectify this epic mistake, but decided to try this since I had a bunch leftover. First, I got a lavender-scented, dog-friendly, all-natural soap and scrubbed my grass and rinsed thoroughly (lavender to help with the flies). I then waited for that to dry. Next, I soaked my grass, then used an entire small bottle of this (with low water pressure — this is important so more product than water comes out of the spray nozzle). After all the solution was gone, every 30 minutes I would lightly mist the trouble areas with plain hose water for a couple hours. The next day, no fish smell AT ALL! I did this routine 3 weeks ago and it’s still holding strong. Do I occasionally smell a faint regular pee smell? Yes. I feel like that’s to be expected though with having an animal. There will be some sort of smell where they use the bathroom! I sanitize with just the spray on a twice-weekly schedule now and it’s holding up very nicely. So much so, it’s enjoyable sitting on the patio again (even guests and family members have commented on the massive improvement). Because this spray completely eliminated the hardcore nasty smells, I do feel it is a great product! If you keep up on some sort of sanitizing routine, it will make a difference. Just make sure not to over saturate the product with water after you apply it. It needs time to work! ... show more

  • Works great if used right
The trick is to wet the turf down and spray at night when the sun is down... give the enzymes a chance to feed on the bacteria. If you spray during the day the sun will just bake it away and boom you've wasted your product and money. Spray half the bottle diluted 50/50 one night... then spray tye other half diluted with water the next night and within 2 days you'll notice the smell is gone. Hope this helps some of you guys and gals :) ... show more

  • Works OK…use often
We use this for a small patch of turf over dirt that our doggo uses for her pee break about 3 times a day. This works pretty well to help reduce the urine smell and has a bit of a perfumed sent when applied. For best results you need to use it frequently (read at least weekly) and do your best to keep the turf washed down between uses (ideally right after your pet does their business) Our area is ~50 sq fr and we go through a bottle ever 4-6weeks. May be less in the winter depending on the rain. ... show more

  • Totally works.
If you follow the directions exactly how you’re supposed to, the stuff totally works. I use it every 1 to 2 weeks on my turf and there is absolutely no smell. I do have pet, friendly turf, and I wonder if that does make a difference. But it doesn’t hurt to use some of this simple green as an added layer of help. ... show more

  • Frequent User
We use this frequently all over our back yard. We use this on our concrete and lawn. We have a bulldog that is train to potty in the lawn but occasionally pees on the concrete. This helps with the odor. our back yard does not smell like dog or urine.

  • Read this ! Then buy it.
Great product but you need to do some work. 1- pressure wash your grass. Don’t get so close you damage it or use such a narrow tip on your wand that you cause damage to the grass. 2- do it right at sundown, this product has to be wet to work. Once it dries it is done. 3- apply with a sprayer. I used a 4 gallon backpack sprayer. 1 gallon of product to 3 gallons of water. For a 15’x30’ area of artificial turf. After you spray, wet the area down with a hose. Don’t soak it just lightly mist it. 4- cover the turf. I had an old carpet that I put over my turf. This helps the product to stay wet and not evaporate or dry. You could use plastic as well. I sprayed 2 times over a week and have ZERO smell. After the first time I did not cover and noticed a smell. I resprayed and covered and even when I get down with my nose to the grass I can’t smell any urine smell. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • It works!
I have an 8x40 dog run on the side of the house. Half concrete, half dirt/rock. One dog goes on the concrete, the other on the dirt/rock. I live in an area where it only rains a few months out of the year so it is very dry and the pee doesn’t get washed away. I have this mixed in a battery powered 4 gallon sprayer and spray the entire area once a week. I does a great job keeping the smell away and the flies too. This jug lasts about 2 months when you mix it per directions. Highly recommend! ... show more
