I got this for my daughters 8 month old blue pit and it's very quite , we was worried he wouldn't like it or what not but he actually hand her his paw like he knew what it was for lol , it was very easy to use and comfortable for her pup seems pretty durable too. It's not too big to handle and not loud , it comes with a light which helps to see so u do file down too much, it came with an extra file as well, it also shows the battery level which is always a plus. It also comes with a card explaining how to get ur fur baby use to it before using it on them which I believe is a great idea to help new pet parents. ... show more

I ordered this because one of my dogs has large nails that are very tough and the smaller clippers I had weren't the best. Both the clipper and grinder have worked wonderfully and my dogs don't mind the grinder at all (they prefer it). The light on the grinder is pretty pointless because it doesn't shine in a useful location, so I don't use it unless I accidently push the button (often). The only real negative with this set is on the clipper. The mechanism to lock the clipper is very loose and touchy. It locks on its own on almost every nail that I clip. After a few nails I get into the groove of unlocking before the next nail, but it's an extra step that I wish weren't there. For the price I'm not too mad about it, but it'd be nice if it just didn't do it. ... show more

It's always a struggle with my dog using normal nail clippers. He freaks out and runs away scared as soon as he sees them. It's always been a problem. Now that he's older, I wanted to spare him the stress of going to the groomer and looked for an alternative that I could do at home. The grinder works great! He tolerates it and I highly recommend it. This is actually my second nail grinder. This one is much better though. The grinder is much quieter, even at the max speed, and the battery lasts forever. The onboard light makes it easy to see the quick and how far you can grind before hitting it. After a few minutes of uncertainty, my dog got used to it and tolerates it MUCH better than the clippers. He's completely chill and I can control what I'm doing. No more anxious trips to the groomer. It works well and the price is right. One thing to note: if the claws are pretty long, holding the grinder on the nail for more than like ten seconds can get pretty hot from the friction, so do a little at a time. ... show more

I just used the sanding feature to help take the sharp edges off our pups nails. This is whisper quiet and worked perfectly! Our pup HATES the groomer and always comes home exhausted from the anxiety. I will order a grooming vacuum and use these to groom him at home from now on. Great nail filing system, gentle and quiet! Easy to hold and handle, size is perfect, it's not heavy at all, looks nice/simple. It feels well made and durable. Hi! Just doing a quick review of this pet grinder. I have a big chocolate lab that is super energetic so trimming and filing his nails is often a huge challenge. He often gets super playful and accidentally scratches us too. So upon finding this, I can now easily grind his nails smoother so they aren’t so sharp! I love that it only takes about 5 seconds per nail and runs nice a quietly. It’s very heavy duty and comes with an extra grinding blade too which is really handy! I also love that it’s not cumbersome and fits right into your hand and is easy to grip and hang onto to. It seems to hold the battery life really well too- Plus it’s rechargeable which is awesome! My dog is an amputee and very protective of the feet he has left. Doing his nails at home is a nightmare, but taking him to the vet every time his nails get long isn't an option. This set saved his poor little toes. Turns out he hates the grinder--I can get about 10 seconds of it to round out the sharp edges, but he won't let me shorten a nail significantly--so this being a set was really helpful. The grinder has different settings that were very helpful in sneaking in some extra seconds, and the light on the end was great for trimming his black nails without going too short. Plus, the clippers are extra sharp, so I'm done trimming his nails before he even notices. Overall, this has been great for training my dog and super easy for me to learn to use. ... show more
