A skunk decided to burrow under our outdoor shop. We never had any trouble with a skunk, I didn't know any were in the area. We do have a small creek just down the block so that would be a place for it to find food, but it decided on our yard with our filbert tree, and some uninvited rodents from across the store, our neighbor is taking out an old orchard, they were all snugged in under his fruit and nut trees until he started reverse farming..so my 3 small dogs went out for their night time break and caught the skunk raiding under our Filbert, and digging grubs. My loudest and most aggressive little dog saw her and baled off the deck barking, ran over to protect her yard and hit the shade garden fence, scaring the skunk so it sprayed, getting my little dog from a distance but she got a small dose..fortunately my other two are not as brave so they ran back to the porch, and the stinky one ran in and jumped in my husband's chair, rubbing to get it off..it was like burnt rubber tires and garlic, times 10. So hubby took a pkg of adult bath wipes to her, I started spraying lysol and perfume, and ordered the pooph skunk spray and some shampoo..it came at 4 am and at 4:03 hubby was spraying the chair, the living room, the kitchen and the dog..it didn't completely kill all of the odor but it made it bearable, at least I couldn't taste skunk..long story ..a few nights go by and dumb dog goes out and hit the top stair like a bullet and got it again..I bout died, hubby got the adult bath wipes and swabbed her, then poophed her til she dripped....next day she got a skunk bath, the house got pooped again and I had a very deserved glass of wine.. I know this all sounds like I'm a means and made hubby do the work but..1)she is his dog and she is very spoiled..2) I am disabled, in a power chair..3) he should never let them out before looking because we have spotted a coyote, possums, raccoons and the neighbors big cat..now he turns on the light, shines a high powered flashlight and stands on the porch..all very reassuring for me, unless he gets skunked!! Our bulldogs got a direct hit from a snunk last weekend. They smelled so bad and so did my house. Dogs washed in all the tips and tricks the internet could offer, everything in the house washed, and still the smell was so strong. Even our clothes just wreaked. I tried every trick and tip to get the smell off them and out of the house. Finally I broke down and ordered this product. Within minutes, the smell had noticeably lightened. Do the dogs still smell, yes, but not nearly as bad. They have had no reaction to the product as that was my main concern. But my house and our clothes, smell completely gone. I love this product, it really works and I have used it in rent houses, weird smelling furniture and on floors/ walls. I’ve had it work in ALL types of urine. Dog, cat and human. Unfortunately I tried to message and let them know about damage and leaking but it wants me to send it back and I need it. Please be more mindful when packaging this item so it doesn’t bang around in box. The seal was broken and leaking so I was probably from getting handled and chunked and thrown. More time in getting it more snug in box would prevent this. When you spend 25$ on an item you expect to get all of it in the bottle when it arrives. After shampooing with pet specific upholstery shampoo and trying several other products that were supposed to remove pet odor to no avail, POOPH saved our loveseat! We have one boy kitty who occasionally finds an opportunity to corner and harass his sister when we aren't looking. This happened on the loveseat (twice actually) and he scared the pee out of her! We are very careful to separate them when we leave the house, but this happened when we were home. For people that doubt this product you should doubt yourself! I bought it to try it out and really didn't get many opportunities to test it until my dog got sprayed by a skunk and didn't have tomato juice or anything I could think of to solve the unbelievable smell especially when it was so late at night and nothing was open since I live in a small town and it hit me to try it and I sprayed him down in a tub then rinsed him off and couldn't believe that there was no smell it was such a relief since I was freaking out and exhausted!!! Dog got skunked. Took her to the dog wash. In picking her up and having her in the car, the skunk oder transferred to both my jacket and the interior of the car. The garage stank from the oder a week after the skunking with the car parked inside with the windows down trying to air it out. I tried other remedies to no avail. I sprayed the jacket and car interior on Friday night with Pooph. I remembered and checked Saturday evening and the oder was not present. Even the garage was absent of the oder. Great product.
