A little higher priced but it has absolutely everything I needed to start tuning my own equipment down to the cleaning solution and apron (it has more tools then I even know what to do with yet). It will definitely pay off saving me money in the long run. Everything seems to be really good quality material. I’m usually reluctant to buy a kit as it tends to have low quality stuff, but I was wildly impressed with all the items in the kit were useful and of good quality.     • The kit is good for wax, but limited for edge tuning
Just get this kit. Watched a bunch videos on youtube so I picked this kit as I am totally new for ski waxing/tuning, so I want to get a complete set and then to see where I need to upgrade. My first impression: What I like about it: It has everything you need for waxing, very easy setup and follow some Youtube guide and you can work on it. The kit provides plenty of wax so you don't need to put a separate purchase. What I don't like: 1) I understand the kit doesn't have base tuning guide, but edge tuning is fine with me as a first step. However, the diamond stone is too thick and doesn't fit in the edge guide, so you have to use the file to do edge tuning. I am a novice so it is kind of daunting task to do it using a file directly on my ski, so I ended up skipping this stage and to find some other guide will do the job. And the edge guide only has two degree, 88 or 90, nothing in the middle, it is in the spec, but read carefully, there is no degree in the the middle. 2). I was expecting the wax iron has a temperature dial, but it doesn't. It only has 3 mark with off/min/max, it probably doesn't need that much precision control, but a temperature number will be nice. I feel this is a great wax kit, but you need to do tuning then you need to buy some extra tool. ... show more

Hadn't been doing my skis since high school and decided to start again with 4 of us in the house. This is nicer than anything I had used in the past & opted to go big with this kit for the clamps (there is more in this kit than I really need) - I have to say the clamps are really nice to have and glad I got them. After doing 4 pairs of skis (including some P-Tex fixes), I won't be needing to buy anymore wax for years there is so much included. Great kit. ... show more
