It is the perfect size for my side table. The blue is a beautiful light blue with a touch of green. The indented circular pattern and over all oval shape of the base reminds me of on an ostridge egg. The shade is a smooth cream color. You screw the lightbulb into the shade arms. LED lights work fine. I bought this as a "Used - Like New" item from Amazon Warehouse and it stated that the packaging had been damaged. The box I received was fine, just had a bunch of extra tape keeping it all together. The lamp inside was perfectly fine. I "assembled" it in about 1 minute and popped a bulb in it. It's actually adorable and I love the color. It's a very light pink, and leans more on the peachy-pink scale than the bubblegum pink scale if that makes sense—which was perfect for me because I wanted it to match my rose gold desk decor. I would definitely buy this again, and I actually just bought another lamp here on amazon that is the same Simple Designs brand so I'm crossing my fingers that I love that one too. ... show more

This little lamp is the perfect size! I love the textured base, it adds a bit of interest t the lamp. The room already has two large lamps but they are on the opposite side of the room and I don't like walking into a dark room. This light sits on the dresser and is operated by the light switch on the wall. Shows a lot of light for such a little lamp! I would have given it 5 stars but the shade was dented in several places. It looks like something heavy had been set on the box during shipping. The description said it's a fabric shade. That's not quite true - it's a plastic shade wrapped with a very thin layer of fabric. I could not get the dents out. Tried the hair dryer hoping the plastic would somehow go back into place but that didn't work. I will have to spend another $10 or so just to get a usable shade. I would have sent it back but for the price, it just wasn't worth it. ... show more

My 10 year old daughter absolutely LOVES it. We recently bought a new house and she wanted to redo her room. Ahe loves blues, teals, turquoise colors. This lamp brings everything together wonderfully. It is a bit small, but, it is super cute and we are happy with our purchase.

First, as a lamp, it's really pretty great. The size is right for what I needed it for, it's visually interesting enough to be worth it, but not so garish as to stand out too much. The cord is long enough, though I wish the switch was on the lamp and not on the cord. But that's not a fault of the lamp. However, we got the blue color, and it is definitely a lot more green than the images in the store indicate. It's more of a sea-foam than light blue. Again this is not a huge issue as I think it might still work, but if I was relying on it being an actual blue color, I would probably return it. ... show more

I ordered the "blue" lamp which is more like a seafoam green to me. Normally this would be problematic, but it ended up matching our daughter's new mermaid comforter and bedroom theme we were going for anyway. The lamp is a bit small, but for a kid's bedroom, not much bigger is necessary. The ceramic is a little thin, making the lamp light in weight, but as long as it doesn't get knocked over it looks beautiful and certainly serves it's purpose well. ... show more

Needed a small lamp to be used occasionally and decided to give this a try due to its small size. It's great for my intended use. The only issue is it has an inline cord switch. The lamp is extremely lightweight and switch hangs down slightly behind a shelf I keep the lamp on. If I lift the cord at all to get to the switch, the lamp tries to tip over. I solved this by forming a loop in the cord with a zip tie so that the switch now rests on top of the shelf and I can reach the switch without pulling the cord at all.     • Adorable small lamp but mint green, not blue.

I am keeping this lamp because the tablecloth it sits on has mint green in it as well as blue. I originally ordered this for a blue lamp. Mint green has a touch of light blue, but more green than blue. The lamp is well made and packaged with foam board for shipping.
