It’s quiet and makes 8 medium sized bullet cubes every 6 minutes. Smart setup, easy operation, simple design and simple to clean. The small fan on the side provides a tiny bit of air cooling for the surrounding area; great in a small kitchen. I personally like the alternating lights on top while the cleaning cycle is active. I bought a refrigerator without an ice maker on purpose. I'm paralyzed, so short and unable to reach the stupid ice maker when it jams, and it does. Every week I was buying 8 pounds of ice. This little machine lets me make ice when I need it. It says it'll make 26 lbs in 24 hours. I have no doubt it would but don't view that as it will do it without attention. You must empty ice, add water, wait. I'm home all day (happily retired) so I start it and throughout the day I empty it into freezer bags until I fill a couple of gallon bags. The reason for the 4 stars is because there is no 'beep' to let you know it needs to be emptied or add water. There are lights indicating this but an audible noise would be more helpful. Easy to use, makes ice faster than my fancy fridge. Like the ice "pellets" - easy to fill a Gatorade bottle. The machine doesn't keep the ice cold for long; not insulated like a fridge. So put extra in a fridge, or cooler, or throw a heap of bathtowels over the machine.
