Description

Save space in your driveway with the Silverback NXT 54" basketball hoop. The NXT allows you to mount the basketball goal to a wall outdoors or indoors – perfect for garages, barns, schools, camps, gyms, and more. Including the backboard, rim, nylon net, and wall mount, this basketball hoop comes partially assembled with attached hardware allowing you to assemble your goal in 120 minutes or less. Mounting hardware is not included. The 54" W x 33" H Infinity Edge backboard has edges that wrap around to the back of the backboard as one continuous material for increased rigidity. The spring- activated rim flexes under pressure, similar to professional-style rims. The pro-style breakaway rim also protects the backboard and prevents player injuries. Using an all-steel crank actuator, the basketball hoop is adjusted from the NBA and NCAA regulation rim height of 10 feet to the safety-approved 7.5 feet. This product features powder-coated steel and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Avoid attaching to any brick surface or facade. The last two hoops I installed on the garage did not last. Either bend supports or rim would hang down after time from normal use. Not this one! Not only is it very sturdy (remember this is not made like the ones used in the NBA), but it is easy to adjust the height from 10' to about 7'-8". My teenage son loves it because he can lower it and dunk with his friends and not have to worry about damaging it. For a driveway basketball hoop this is the best for the money. Don't try and save $50 - $80 and get one that will not last. Also impressed by the company, after registering this product they actually sent me a free replacement net just for registering the product. ... show more

Thanks. We look forward to many years of basketball playing with this wall mounted basketball hoop and backboard. The directions were clear and easy to understand with pictures and instructions. Love the size of the backboard and the ability to adjust to different heights will be so fun for our grandchildren. Took just over two hours after reinforcing the wall mount area and getting a few items to do that. Look forward to playing ball with our grandkids. I installed it above the garage door so I had to add additional support before I attach it. Rest of the installation was fairly easy and quick. Instruction says it requires two persons but I was able to finish it by myself without any problem. If you are able to lift and hold the board above your head, you should be fine. Only issue was that I could not find mount bolts. I called customer service, they answered they don't include them b/c every situation is different. It needs eight 5/16 bolts no matter what situations you have. Incuding general length of bolts, at least 5 inch, will be good enough for most of installations. I had to spend unexpected time to run to hardware store just to get bolts and nuts. ... show more

We had a strong hail storm on the side of the house as this hoop - totaled roof, gutters and windows but this backboard was unscathed. Docked a star because product came missing mounting hardware. I needed something that I could attach to a tree for our lake house. Took a couple hours to get it installed by myself. The kids are happy and it seems pretty solid. As others said, you’ll need to buy mounting bolts - in my case I used lags to secure it to the tree.
