The NXT allows you to mount the basketball goal to a wall outdoors or indoors – perfect for garages, barns, schools, camps, gyms, and more. Including the backboard, rim, nylon net, and wall mount, this basketball hoop comes partially assembled with attached hardware allowing you to assemble your goal in 120 minutes or less. Mounting hardware is not included. The 54" W x 33" H Infinity Edge backboard has edges that wrap around to the back of the backboard as one continuous material for increased rigidity. The spring- activated rim flexes under pressure, similar to professional-style rims. The pro-style breakaway rim also protects the backboard and prevents player injuries. Using an all-steel crank actuator, the basketball hoop is adjusted from the NBA and NCAA regulation rim height of 10 feet to the safety-approved 7.5 feet. This product features powder-coated steel and is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Avoid attaching to any brick surface or facade. I was apprehensive about finding an affordable good quality hoop and backboard that would attach to my carport and offer both sturdiness and height adjustability. Yesterday I finished the installation and it is absolutely perfect. I seldom write reviews but feel compelled to share my satisfaction when a product is actually better than anticipated. Since the unit is so new I can't vouch for its longevity but I am a 70 year old handyman and I have seen a lot of poor equipment being falsely advertised as "quality." So what makes it so good? The steel is thick and extra stable. The nuts and bolts go together easily and stay together with the locknuts threading beautifully. The rim is incredibly sturdy. And the fit and finish is superb at this price level. I guess you can tell that I am a very satisfied customer who is often quite critical (just ask the Mrs.:-)) So far I believe this hoop will be a winner with my 5 kids and 5 grandkids. It adjusts smoothly to different heights. If there is one thing I predict could be a problem it will likely be the shiny plexi surface which will probably look pretty bad by the end of the summer due to scuffing. So not perfect but still a definite 5 star. Did I say it was also beautiful? and did I say the installation manual was about the best I have ever seen with any product? Kudos to the company who put the time, effort and expense into this feature which makes installation a doable thing for many. ... show more

This is well made and looks great, but while the instructions are accurate, you might really hurt yourself installing it. They want you to hoist it up where it goes, all in one piece. It's too heavy and awkward to do that. After we put it all together, we found that it was best to break it down into 3 sections: the wall bracket, the arm, and the backboard with the hoop attached. Then, we cut down a piece of plywood to fit the size of the bracket and drilled holes for mounting the bracket to it. Next we mounted the plywood to the wall, without the bracket. Once the plywood was attached to the wall, we mounted the bracket to it with some very long lag bolts that went completely through to the other side of the wall. We had to buy the bolts & nuts at the hardware store. With the bracket in place, we then attached the arm. Once the arm was in place, we attached the backboard. That's how this 65yr old husband and wife team got the job done without hurting ourselves. ... show more

Must have 2 people to install. I would recommend borrowing someone’s pick up truck and backing it up to the garage to do the install (instead of using a ladder). Either way, once it’s up, it looks great, and the quality is very solid. HOWEVER, it DOES NOT come with mounting screws. Had to make a last minute run to the hardware store (thank God it was still open) to find the right screw length and washers. To be honest it was worth it because it’s hard to guesstimate what size screws you will need. With all that said. Still 5 star. ... show more

Good goal for the price. Backboard is plexiglass glass so if it is outside it might get brittle over time. Works perfect for inside the shop. Directions were straight forward and easy to follow.

Grandkids and even parents loved the backboard. Easy to follow instructions for install and did it myself. Really like the easy height adjustment , well made and looks good at a very reasonable price.

    • Two things to know before you install

First off the hoop is awesome. Super solid. Well made. Takes bank shots without moving an inch. But there are two things I wish I had known before I began the install. (1) There is no hardware included to actually mount the bracket to your structure. So you can unpack everything, drill pilot holes, but then you'll have to go to the hardware store and pick up the bolts/lags you need for the job. 5/16" bolts were the largest that'll fit through the holes. (2) Since you're going to the hardware store anyway, take out one of each bolt from the supplied hardware and make sure you've got sockets that match each size. Attaching the rim, in particular, is a nightmare if you don't have a socket wrench. It's a tight space with very little movement. Once you have the mounting bracket installed, it only takes about an hour to build/install the rest of the hoop. Last thing, it says it's a two-person job in bold print and that's probably the smart/safe way to do it, but it can be done by one person if they're capable enough. ... show more
