  • Good starter welder
Good starter welder for under $100 bucks. Its pretty basic in its features but that is great for something that is just starting out and does not know what all of the different settings and terms are. As far as laying a bead it will lay a nice bead and give you a foundation to keep building on.

  • Great basic welder!
I got this for my husband who is a seasoned welder and he is really impressed with it. It does everything he needs it to do with our various projects and he is confident in its performance. It even comes with a little face shield so it’s a great starter kit. He likes the size of it too and that it’s 120v. He has several other higher end welders and is still pretty impressed with this one. It’s not overly intimidating too, he has even been able to get our teenage daughter to start learning with it. It’s been quite surprising how decent it really is. It’s a great product and I would recommend it! ... show more

  • 110 Volt welder, Plenty of accessories.
The only negative that I have for this welder is that it didn't come with headgear, which would have made it an even better deal. I like the fact that I didn't have to run a 220-volt wire or hook up another breaker to handle the voltage. This welder is easy to use. I was a little daunted at first when I opened up the box, but if you take your time, watch a few videos here on Amazon and read the other reviewers, read the manual you'll be welding your first line in no time. I was going to put a spare tire holder onto my RV trailer using nuts and bolts, but I wanted to give the welder a try and it worked marvelously. I won't say I'm a professional welder and I'm sure that my first bead or two didn't look so good, but after a few sticks and then I used an angle grinder to smooth it out, I liked the way it looked and I can say that I welded it. I did get head gear from Amazon at this link: https://amzn.to/4dDC9yV that wasn't too expensive and I really liked it. ... show more

  • Simple, inexpensive MIG welder.
I teach a welding class for a bunch of highschoolers and I've picked up half a dozen inexpensive MIG welders for the kids to be able to run multiple machines so that they can all get the most important thing - PRACTICE. Theory is great, knowledge is great, but experience is what you really need when it comes to welding. Anyway, this machine isn't going to outdo a nice Lincoln, but it does seem to work relatively well and it's handled abuse from students so it's fairly durable. I did also try out the TIG and stick welding and they are functional, but more of an afterthought as the real reason you'd want this machine is for the wirefeed functionality. It's most handy with the flux-core/gassless MIG wire, but it does have a gas connection so you can run solid wire and argon for a cleaner job with less spatter. ... show more

  • I'm going to enjoy Flux Core Welding
I think I'm gonna like flux core welding. I tested the welder first with E6013 rods of 1/16" and 3/32" on a 15amp circuit. Best results were between 50 and 90 amps. At 110 amps the breaker tripped. But the flux core seems so much easier to get consistent results. This gives me confidence to start a project. My shop is 110 volts only. ... show more

  • Good basic welder, good price
This is a good basic welder for beginners to learn on or for someone that only occasionally needs to do light welding. I would assume that it will be used almost exclusively for stick and flux-core wire welding. Although it can do more that would involve the extra investment of a tig gun and an argon tank which would likely cost more than this welder. But for the basics this is a great little welder. It is very handy and only requires 120V. ... show more

  • meets my 120V MIG and Stick welding needs.
I am an amateur welder who learned by helping the in laws repair some farm equipment over the years. I have tested out the MIG using the provided flux core to get a feel for the unit, and it performed as expected. No issues welding with some 2mm scrap I had laying around. After adjusting the voltage and feed speed, I was able to weld some sheet metal without putting a hole in it. So far so good. This meets my 120V MIG and Stick welding needs. ... show more
