The media could not be loaded. Previously, I used a long sheet of foil on my counter when working with dough, but it was inconvenient as it didn't stay in place and tore easily. I decided to explore alternatives on Amazon and came across this product after narrowing down my options. Watching a review video where someone tried to push it off the counter without success convinced me to give it a try. Upon receiving the product, it was neatly folded in a bag, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't retain any creases. There was no noticeable smell, and it proved easy to hand wash. However, be cautious of water runoff during washing. For drying, a simple wipe sufficed, but I air-dried it on the top rack of my dishwasher, unfolded. Storing it involved folding and placing it inside a plastic bag within a drawer. This lightweight product has a smooth, grippy silicone feel, ensuring it stays securely on the counter without sliding. It's easily adjustable, so that your mat is bubble-free, and straight when placed. Importantly, the dough doesn't stick to the mat, making it a valuable addition to my kitchen tools. I also used this mat so I can roll steam rice rolls. These can be very tricky to roll because they'll get sticky and you'll need to lubricate your surface with oil. But I do not need to use oil on this mat. It is already non-stick! According to my sister, I made the best looking steam rice rolls. Sticky sourdough rye bread batter stuck to it and it was hard scrape off - it pulled the whole mat up. The dough hardened on it and the 30"x24" cloth was hard to clean in the sink because it was so large. However, it was perfect for non-sticky sourdough rolls. It cleaned up easily by just wiping it off. We needed the 30x24 mat to roll out the whole recipe. The grams conversion table was a nice addition -- helpful to have it right there. ... show more

This silicone mat is very useful. I can roll out dough onto it and with just a light sprinkling of flour.. the dough won't stick. I also like the measurements along the sides. The measurements are both in standard American sizes and Metric. The center measurements are also helpful when rolling out dough for specific recipes. First off, the mat is in my sink with water on it, thats why it looks bubbled, its not. *This is the perfect mat for kneading dough.* The mat is "just right thin" and very flexible. The dough mat wipes off clean and washes easily in the sink. It adheres to your counter so it wont move while you work. It will fold up small so you can store it without wondering where youre going to keep it.. This versatile mat is everything I need to make my life easier and I am a chef and a skilled bread baker.. The mat is perfect for pastry, bread and pasta making. It’s a bit on the thin side so it could be cut easily if using a knife or pastry cutter too firmly. Otherwise it’s great with the measurements on it, easy to clean, is stable if a bit of water is splashed under it. It was worth’s the $$ to me to have this mat. Since I’m not the neatest cook, I also use it under my cutting boards to catch moisture or pieces of whatever I’m cutting up. It also keeps the boards from sliding on the counter.
