If I had paid $600+ (the cost of the leading brand name), I would given four stars, because the instructions were not good. However, I managed to assemble it correctly, and use it almost daily. It is a solid piece of equipment. I am 64 years old, and I don't have 2 hours to spend in the gym every day (or any day, actually). I happen to have a large amount of free weights (been working out all of my life), which I use on occasion to mix things up, but I get an excellent workout for all body parts with the Signature Fitness home gym. I did not think there would be enough resistance to do leg work, but the resistance bands that come with the unit add much more resistance, and the configuration would let one add more resistance bands (or heavier ones) if desired. It's not perfect, but the Signature Fitness home gym is an excellent value, that I would highly recommend. ... show more

    • Scam - Cheat - Ripp Off - Don't Buy It!

I was very excited to order this gym, as I had an original total gym before that I really liked and used almost every day. But this one is a big disappointment! I have never had a chance to use it. It feels as if the company is trying to get rid of its faulty product by reducing the price significantly. All the screws and bolts were missing, not a big deal; we got them from a hardware store. The instruction is terrible and misleading. It is very hard to slide up and down, and the bench usually gets stuck on the top and keeps falling off the rail. We even paid someone to take a look. He loosened the wheels as much as possible, but it didn't help. He said the rails are too narrow or close to each other towards the top; therefore, the wheels get stuck. He would have to cut them off, adjust them so the wheels have room to roll, and weld them back. Basically, restructure the entire machine for $250. The seller is not responding to my emails or phone calls. I feel cheated, lied to, and completely ripped off! Shame on this company for selling their garbage to the public!!!! Amazon should not allow them to sell!!! ... show more

    • Overall a good machine but a nightmare to put together

I have been enjoying using this machine. It is very heavy and sturdy and seems to be made of good materials, especially for the price. I am able to get a good workout and make my muscles nice and sore. However, the assembly instructions are the worst I have ever seen. I have put together many pieces of furniture and household items over the years and this was the first time I felt like maybe I wasn't going to be able to do it successfully. If you are someone who generally struggles with assembling things, I would not recommend buying this. It does come with hardware and 2 sheet metal wrenches (though I recommend a regular wrench and socket set if you have it). The parts are labeled by letter in the picture but then by the name (ex 55mm bolt) in the written instructions, so I repeatedly had to go back and forth to the hardware list to make sure you are using the right part and, in some cases, I think the instructions were just flat out incorrect about which part to use. No instructions whatsoever on assembling the pulley system. You have to use your brain a bit to be able to put it together. That said, I did manage it and am happy with it. It does make a little noise when going over one of the joints when sliding, but putting headphones on alleviates that. Adding resistance bands and adjusting the height (screw mechanism) does take a minute or 2, but I don't do either very often during my workout so not a big deal to me. Overall, I would purchase this again. There are things that could be improved, but for the price I am not bothered at all. The company should fix the issue with their instructions. First thing, 5 stars for all parts being there, 5 stars because assembly was a breeze I didn't even need the instructions for this I looked at the 1st diagram on the very 1st page of the booklet and that was it, 35 minutes later I was done would have been sooner but I have a bad hips and back so squatting and kneeling on the floor to put things together is a little hard for me. I weigh a good 250+ lbs and this glides flawlessly on its tracks, the resistance is very strong so I will probably only use the resistance bands for certain exercises. I just received my Home Gym today so I have not done a total workout yet so I will update this on a later date. ... show more

I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately, it fell short. At first, it looks like all the hardware you need is included, but as I started putting it together, I realized some pieces were missing. I ended up buying extra hardware, only to discover that the holes for the pegs weren’t drilled correctly, so I couldn’t lock the equipment in place. It was pretty frustrating, and after searching online, I saw that others had the same experience. If you’re looking for something reliable, I’d recommend investing in the real Total Gym or checking for a used one that’s already assembled. It’ll save you time and hassle. ... show more

I would write a review but there are missing nuts and bolts and the instructions are extremely poor. The assembly pics in the instructions if you can call it that were reduced to near reading impossibility. Called the support number in Canada, went to voicemail. Sent an email, no response yet.
