I ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly with my favorite thick socks. They also cinch up nicely to fit with thinner socks. These have been comfortable and stable over rough terrain in the woods. They've also been comfortable all day at my job, which involves a lot of walking and standing. I wore them to an outdoor event after heavy rains. The deepest areas of standing water were ankle deep on the people who went barefoot. The water in those areas came up to the bottom-most laces on these boots, and it splashed up higher as I walked. My feet stayed dry. Other patrons kept sliding in the mud. I never once did. I really like these boots and I think they would have been perfect if they fit me better. I'm usually a 9.5 in boots and this 9.5 was too big on me. They are very light and comfortable otherwise. There's a comparison photo of a Columbia boot I have in a 9.5 that fits me perfectly. Unfortunately I can't make them work but they are of high enough quality that I will most likely reorder the correct size. ... show more

I got the grey/blue. Strangers have complimented me on them! Mostly I got them for ankle support. No break-in period required, great traction, pretty great shoe and I'm super picky. Not great on a treadmill (don't ask lol)

I like the boots because they are nice and light. The draw back is after wearing them for 2 months and my feet were dry after going through puddles now my feet got soaked on my last hike and the bottoms got slippery . I am very disappointed.

    • Amazing boots that hold up to hiking and water
I was a bit sceptical on buying shoes from Amazon as I couldn't try them on beforehand and see if I liked them. I read some reviews by others and decided to try them out. They have been fantastic so far! I've only had them for around 2 months but they do not pinch my toes like my old boots did, they have been water resistant so far. (Now I've never stood in water over my ankles so I can't comment on that lol) and they've held up to hiking and walking every day for 2 months. Be sure to get a size up so they fit correctly! I was hesitant as I have had a few different hiking boots and the trail up my mountain is mud and much most of spring. I require a deep tread hiking sneaker in the warmer months. The tread on these are great and the last week has been nothing but rain (year for that matter here in North East PA) and these havent let a drop in and I've been in water to my ankle bone. feet stayed warm with thin socks on and i have cold feet constantly. We (me and my 1yo Shepherd) have trudged 20 miles of mountain so far in these and I will buy again. Sizing up is only needed if you plan to wear thicker socks than normal. these fit great and are not heavy and I will be wearing them to hike in the snow next year if they hold up. If not for the price ill buy a new pair! The tread...... i dont slip at all climbing steep trails and going down hill in the mud and slick leave is great. I have the traction to keep up my pace! ... show more
