  • Outstanding Comfort and Grip for Backpacking!
Size: 7.5 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
I recently purchased the adidas Men's Terrex Ax3 for my son to use during our backpacking trip, and I couldn’t be happier with how well they performed. These shoes have proven to be an excellent choice for rugged outdoor adventures. First and foremost, the comfort of these shoes is exceptional. My son found them to be incredibly supportive and comfortable right out of the box. The cushioning and fit are perfect for long hikes, providing the right balance of support and flexibility. He mentioned that the shoes felt great even after hours of trekking, with no discomfort or blisters. The grip on these shoes is also impressive. The outsole provides excellent traction on various terrains, from rocky paths to muddy trails. My son felt confident and secure with every step, thanks to the reliable grip that kept him steady and safe throughout the hike. Additionally, the durability and build quality of the Terrex Ax3 are top-notch. They held up well to the rough conditions of the trail and showed no signs of wear and tear. The design is also stylish and functional, making them versatile for both hiking and casual wear. In summary, the adidas Men's Terrex Ax3 are a fantastic investment for anyone looking for comfortable and reliable hiking shoes. My son’s positive experience with their comfort and grip makes them highly recommended for any backpacking or outdoor adventure. Highly recommended for their exceptional performance and quality! ... show more

  • Great shoes
Size: 10 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
I really like these shoes. I do not have experience with hiking shoes but these fit as expected and are very comfortable. I wear a size 10 in US and they fit perfectly.

  • Good rugged work/hiking sneaker, not as breathable as hoped
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
I bought 3 pairs of trail running/walking shoes to use as work shoes on my small urban farm. I prefer trail running sneakers for this type of work because they tend to be more breathable, lighter, and easier to slip on/off than work boots. I work 12-14 hrs a day, on my feet 90% of the time, so a light weight shoe is a huge benefit. I don’t use tractors or other motorized equipment on the farm so I’m not particularly worried about buying a shoe to protect my feet from serious injury, making heavy boots overkill most of the time. The 3 shoes I bought were these ASICS Frequent Trail Running shoes, Columbia Fairbanks Low Sneaker, and these Adidas Terrex Ax3. I bought all in size 10.5, which is my normal sneaker size, and I tend to wear size 10 in hiking/work boots. I’ve bought 2 types of Adidas Terrex sneakers in the past - the CC Voyager in size 10.5, which was my absolute favorite shoe (but the most minimal), and the Tracerocker Trail Running shoe, which fit tight in the toe box area to the point where I probably should have returned them to get a size 11. After a week of daily use on the farm, here is how these Ax3 trail running shoes compare to the above mentioned shoes. Much more rugged than the ASICS or Tracerockers, the least breathable compared to all the other shoes, good heavy duty tread, and the best cushioning between the heal and ankle. The toe box is almost too tight, but not nearly as much as the Tracerockers (but my toes really splay out so this might not be a concern for others). Also the poor breathability was kinda a bummer but it’s a bit of a trade off since these are the most “substantial” of all the shoes, making these a great choice for rugged trail hiking, or in my case, work on the farm. They don’t seem to have good arch support, but the sole is thick rubber, making them a good choice for when I’m doing construction and walking around nails/screws. Also there is extra protection around the outside footbed and a decent toecap - while not a composite or steel toe, this heavy rubber outer layer gives an extra bit of safety and I wouldn’t be too worried about dropping a moderately heavy object on my toes while wearing these shoes (think a log/concrete block/wooden post, etc). All in all I’m very happy with these shoes, I just need to swap them out for another pair half way through the day to let my feet breath a bit. ... show more

  • Great hiking shoes/disposable work shoes for those doing ecology research
Size: 7.5 Color: Black/Black/Carbon
I do forest science/ecology data collection for a living, so I regularly bushwhack several miles in rough conditions every day. These shoes held up for an entire work season before the outsole wore too much and the sides started to tear open. They held up better than any hiking boot I have ever used while being much more comfortable. If you don't need the ankle support of a boot, I'd recommend using a pair of trail runners like these. The other option for this line of work is you can drop $250 for a pair of forester boots that will last several years but are very cumbersome. I prefer trailrunner tactic and these are a pretty good damn pair for the price. ... show more

  • Allmost perfect
Size: 10 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Carbon
Great show stability build runs nice really great sole , perfect looks , perfect grip , well built , black on black The younger of the shoe drive me crazy though it has extra padding and would go over my pants all the time makeing my pants sit Werid on the shoe the ax2 dosent do this so I’ll just stick with them or if I get brave I might get another pair and cut the tongue down and see it In shorts or work out clothes it looks fine Defently get I Tryed them again for another chance the tongue is crazy but also this time they appear to be deformed , the sole of the right shoe rolls and leans to the front right , it’s very noticeable so I have to send them back ... show more
