I have shoes removed when entering the house and have a puppy, both of which result in a pile of stuff at my doorway - shoes, boots, leash, harness, etc. etc etc. This is perfect - fits in the corner and doesn't block the heater vent (even though i will have to scoot it over to fully open the one closet door). I only used 6 levels rather than the seven it comes with and that seems to be enough. It was easy to put together and very sturdy. First complaint would be I ordered the 8 tier & as you can see I only got seven (this includes the top shelf). We had the base for another layer but no side in either box (ordered two). Second, not sturdy for our use & with kids. A couple time my kids yelled to me, "Mom it's falling!" I'm am returning and ordering their competitor. Maybe you will have luck for your usage. And hopefully it is a full box per what you order. ... show more

Does what you need it too, plastic is a little flimsy but does the job once shoes are loaded on there - feels more solid then. If you have work boots they will not fit in here, just an FYI.
