I have a topper on my mattress that shifts, the main reason I wanted a mattress protector was to help keep this in place as I have seep pocket sheets that are a little loose and I constantly have to readjust the foam topper. Feels fine, quilted and cozy but not fuzzy or linty, and the elastic and density of the fabric fits over topper and mattress very well, it is pulled taut but there has been no issue with the corners popping off since I put it on! And it helps my sheet fit better and keeps the foam shifting down to the bare minimum, and the fabric does seem to have a breathable quality and the side material is thin and quiet. Have not tested the water resistance but for sure would soak up a good amount of liquid if whatever was spilled permeated the surface. ... show more

I got this mattress protector to save my mattress. It is smooth and soft. It doesn’t make any noise when lying on the bed. The bedsheet doesn’t move anywhere when the protector is on the bed.     • A decent mattress protector. Though, not for everyone...
I consider a good mattress to be an investment. A good mattress protector should keep the mattress clean, dry and protected from as much dust as possible. I will preface this review by saying my home is free of pets and children so I cannot attest to how this item would stand up against those challenges. (I imagine kitty claws would destroy this in seconds.) I am simply an adult who was traumatized by those advertisements in mattress stores - "Do you know what is living in YOUR mattress???" - featuring giant photographs of super magnified dust mites. I also like to watch a movie in bed here and there and drink a glass of dark red wine. I've been using this mattress protector for a few weeks. My queen mattress is 12" deep and this cover fit perfectly and snugly. It doesn't creep or bunch up like many covers do. It is quiet thanks to the quilted "bamboo" (more on that later) topper and didn't seem to make my bed hot. *TIP* My last mattress protector was a very utilitarian number; essentially a fitted sheet made of plastic. I purchased a cotton pillow-top mattress cover to put over that plastic cover. It added more softness to my bed, hid the plastic crinkling noise, and got rid of the extra heat. I still use a pillow top cover over this new protector and it works very well. It does seem to be waterproof as another reviewer confirmed, however, the sides of the protector do NOT have the plastic backing that the top does. This means one strategic spill of red wine that hits the side of my mattress will bleed right through and stain. Not great. For my occasional movie-and-wine nights this product will be fine, but for anyone with unpredictable pets and/or children, this simply isn't a good choice. I also don't think the cover is the best choice for keeping as much dust as possible off of your mattress (though it is certainly better than NO cover and as long as you are cleaning frequently, you will be perfectly fine.) Lastly, the tag attached to the cover states "40% bamboo, 60% polyester, 100% polyurethane backing - Surface are 100% bamboo except the logo part". So, as far as I can tell the soft quilted part on top is probably bamboo fiber, the stretchy fabric around the sides could be a bamboo/poly blend, and the polyurethane is clearly the plastic waterproof backing material. This isn't a 100% bamboo product. In summary, this product works very well for the average adult who enjoys red wine (just so long as it doesn't spill down the side of the mattress) but is not a good choice for people dealing with pets and/or children who are looking for maximum protection from liquid and dust. In that case, I would say go for the heavy duty "plastic bag" style protectors and put a cotton or bamboo pillow-top cover over it for comfort. I won't know how long before the plastic backing starts to deteriorate; for my last cover it took nearly a decade. Should this one break down early I will amend and update my review. ... show more

I had a mattress protector on my bed but I like to change it when I change my sheets every 2nd or 3rd time. This was easy to put on and fits my mattress well, once I have my sheets on you can’t even tell it’s there. No crinkling or feeling like there’s plastic under the sheets. It seems to be made of good material and made well. I can attest to it being waterproof and protecting the mattress underneath as well. It’s soft and works and was a decent price point.     • Durable and comfortable mattress cover
I ordered this mattress cover for our queen sized mattress after our one year old cat decided to ruin our old bedding but using it as a litter box and we couldn't get the smell out no matter how many times we washed it ( thank goodness it only got down to this level). This cover is nice and thick and very comfortable under our sheets. We have not tested the waterproof part (and I'm hoping won't need to). ... show more

What's so special about this mattress pad? The value for the cost for one. It's thick and has substance. Some pads are thin and barely fit around the four corners. I have an extra deep mattress and it tucked under the corners with no problem. This one is a bargain!
