I’ve been extremely unhappy with the condition of my hair. Nothing I’ve used lately seems to work, so I was happy to order this SHIBUI Creme Gel Elixir. As soon as the Amazon driver left the SHIBUI Gel, I removed the tightly wrapped and sealed plastic from the tube. There was also a metallic seal over the opening of the tube. The creme gel feels just like a creme gel. It does have a slight fragrance but it was not overwhelming to me. I washed and deep conditioned my hair as usual. I then towel dried my hair and divided my hair into 6 sections. I worked about a dime-size amount from root to ends. I applied an additional drop or 2 to my ends. I immediately noticed that my ends started to look really smooth. The straggly ends started to lay down and curl. When my hair dried, it looked so much better. I did blow dry it and used my heated air comb. My hair looked really conditioned and smooth. I normally wouldn’t pay $28 for a tube of conditioner this size, but a little of this gel goes a long way and does an excellent job. I will order this SHIBUI Creme Gel Elixir again. ... show more

    • My hair is soft now.
I dye my hair A LOT. I mean, like, every 6 weeks. And while I love the way it looks, constant coloring can be rough on your hair. That's why I was so excited to try this cream. It's a styling gel that's specifically designed for dyed hair. So, does it live up to the hype? Pros: It smells amazing. Seriously, it's like a spa treatment for your hair. It's super lightweight. I hate styling products that make my hair feel heavy and greasy. This one is the opposite - it leaves my hair feeling soft. It defines my curls without making them crunchy. I have naturally curly hair, and this is one of the few gels that I've found that can actually define my curls without making them feel stiff or crunchy. It protects my color. I've noticed that my color is definitely fading less. It helps to keep my hair healthy. My hair is definitely less frizzy and more manageable since I started using this gel. Cons: It's a bit expensive. But I think it's worth the price, especially if you dye your hair often. ... show more

SHIBUI Clean Beauty Color Care Creme Gel Elixir is excellent. I did apply a little too much, thinking I have thick long hair so I need more. Start with less, can always add more! The scent is very light. So light that I can smell the shampoo, same brand, more than the creme. The creme applies well into towel damp hair. The only mistake I made was too much near my temples and it got a little flaky. The rest of my hair looks good. When I used the flat iron afterwards I didn't get any smoking from my hair as with some other brands. Yes, I use very high heat on my curly, frizzy hair. Overall I am please with the product and find the price point of $28 to be reasonable. I will next be trying out their shampoo! ... show more

This was the first Shibui product I tried, and I really like it. The texture is a little unexpectedly gel-like, but this isn’t a bad thing. It’s easy to massage into my hair after washing. With little effort my hair was touchably soft and smooth. It looks and feels good. I’ve since used it with the match shampoo and conditioner and had really good results. I have to admit I am very disappointed in this product. I followed the instructions and ran a comb through my hair after application. My hair, once dry, was horrible! It felt stiff, my hair was tangled which surprises me because I ran the comb through it to begin with, and I lost my shine. My hair certainly didn't look smooth. It just didn't work very well at all. I have naturally curly hair. It tends to get frizzy. So, I decided to give SHIBUI Clean Beauty Color Care Creme Gel a try. I was very pleased with the result. A little dab of SHIBUI Clean Beauty Color Care Creme Gel, after washing and my hair stayed curly and frizz free for hours. Definitely a good product.     • Good for naturally curly hair.
I added a drop of this gel to my damp hair and brushed it through and then let my hair dry naturally. It made my curls look good and helped to control some of the frizz. Like any gel, it does get stiff if you put too much in one section. A solid 4 stars.

    • Not for my hair
I have medium semi-wavy hair and I didn't like how this made my hair feel. It didn't really soak into my hair and just sat on top and dragged it down a bit. Might be better for thicker or curlier hair. It does smell nice, tho!
