As someone with a lethal combination of severe sleep apnea, insomnia, and sensory sensitivity, it’s very difficult for me to fall asleep and stay asleep. This blanket is large for the price, just heavy enough at 20lbs, and has such a soft furry lining underneath. It was a dream to use until I noticed the defects (read original review). I had my first blanket replaced by Amazon due to the beads spilling out only to have the second blanket leak beads too. Very upset, I contacted the seller and they could not be nicer about the situation. I received a quick, polite response and a new blanket was sent out right away. If your item arrives and the beads spill out please don’t hesitate to contact the seller! Original review: I am so unbelievably disappointed with my purchase. I’ve had it on my bed for barely ten minutes and I see these little dots everywhere. I freak out thinking I have a bug infestation or something but upon further inspection i realize it’s the beads from the blanket. I am so upset. I was excited to use this and now I have to return it and vacuum my bed and find some other blanket. I am going to try to order a new one and if that one is any better or if the seller makes any effort to help me with this issue I will update this review accordingly. ... show more

    • Met every expectation
I'd been considering buying one of these blankets, as I deal with insomnia AND not being able to stay asleep. I usually sleep a good 45-1.5hrs mins when I first fall asleep, then wake up every 30-45 mins afterward. I almost never buy a product that doesn't have an adequate amount of reviews, but I didn't see any other like this one, so I canceled the first order I made for a less expensive one that didn't look as comfortable. That one that I first put the order in for would have needed a cover, as it looked just like a heavy, flat blanket that wouldn't be comfortable to sleep under alone, so that'd be at least $20 more, anyway. I could tell they didn't short on weight, as heavy as the box it came in was. There's an even distribution of weight and none of the shaky, sand sounds that I heard about. It's as soft as it looks, seriously. And the blue is the same as in the photos. I had never heard of this company in my life and have had no contact with it nor given any discounts. Trying to help someone who might be on the fence who wants to try out one of these weighted blankets. They've helped me get to sleep quicker and stay sleep longer, and the softness is what you'd expect from a thick cover of this material. It's better if you lie flat ( I mean with or without a pillow..I sleep elevated normally), as you get the full effect of the cover. I also sleep with the cover over my head, and have for many years. No problem..I would be careful with a child or disabled person with a weighted blanket doing this, though, obviously. I haven't washed it, yet, so I can't speak on that. It's insane how this blanket knocks me outcold. I could just be chilling on my bed with this blanket on me (fully awake) and then I fall asleep even when I don't want to. It's too good in my opinion. Very warm, very comfy. Perfect. Honestly the best item I've bought on Amazon all these years. Invest in a blanket like this. Invest in sleep. We sleep for basically a third of our lives, so why not make that time worth it? ... show more

I am quite happy with my purchase of this weighted blanket . It is everything I expected it to be although I had limited use of this blanket when I did use it I found that I got a deeper sleep and actually felt rested when I woke up. I got the 20 lb blanket as I am a larger size. It does seem a bit heavy but that doesn't bother me at all. Also the covering is so plush it just makes me feel good all over. ... show more

My daughter bought this blanket as a Christmas gift for me. I have Hashimoto’s disease and am naturally always cold and always need a blanket at night sitting on the couch to watch tv. I don‘t know if it‘s the Sherpa or the weight, but on days were „regular“ blankets are not warm enough, this blanket will warm me up so much so that I will have to take off my socks. Where to begin? Gorgeous luscious material on both sides. Super coxy for watching TV in drafty rooms. I love the weighted thing, partly because it's warmer and partly because in the times of COVID we need our comforts, and I feel very pampered in this blanket. It's hard to fold up because it's heavy (I am115 lbs, so the it's 13% of my body weight), but also looks very nice on the couch---you will not need to stash it when not in use because of a garish color, etc. My only change would be to offer it in 7 lbs, but that's really a quibble.
