  • Very pleased with this vacuum!
Style: Cordless Color: Blue
My house has wood-look flooring which I've put down large area rugs. I needed somthing that would easily go from flooring to carpet. This has proven to be the perfect. I live alone, and do not make too much of a mess, so this little thing is perfect. It is not made for heavy cleaning of carpets. If I had several children and pets the suction is probably not strong enough on carpets. As for mopping the flooring it works great. The cordless feature is very attractive to me. The battery works perfect for my 700sq ft home. Also, it is so lightweight and manueverable. Perfect for an older person or those with bad backs. It is also very easy to clean. After running the self-cleaning cycle, simply pop out the dirty water chamber and the roller, rince and allow to dry. It seems to clean really well. So, for a smaller home and not much traffic, I give it five stars. ... show more

  • Convenient and Effective
Style: Cordless + XL Ultra Pack Color: Tea Green
I clean homes for a living and have always hand scrubbed and mopped. I have been wanting to get one of these for a while and I sure am glad I finally did. It is lightweight and a breeze to use. When done I remove the roller brush, rinse and let air dry along with emptying and rinsing the dirty water tank. It can even go over low pile throw rugs so I don't have to pick these up when using. I like it because it does a great job of cleaning and does not completely soak the floors with water. The floors are completely dry in a couple of minutes. It is a complete game changer. ... show more

  • Charging issues and short run time/Not dead
Style: Cordless + XL Ultra Pack Color: Tea Green
I bought this for light cleaning on a laminate floor in my kitchen/dining room. It is approximately 250 sq feet. I had intermittent charging problems from the beginning. I thought maybe it wasn't sitting correctly in the base. I thought maybe this was just a design flaw and dealt with it. Honestly, it was a pain to keep checking it, and adjusting how it was sitting in there. Even though it showed fully charged, it obviously was not. It worked long enough to clean a small area. but ran out of power, and it shut off. Again, I figured it did a portion of what I needed it to do, but was disappointed in the battery life. I'd recharge it and finish the other areas. I should add that the self cleaning function also worked intermittently which resulted in changing the roller often. I'm starting to think I received a lemon. I have not had this 6 months and do not use it more than a few times a week. Right before it died completely, while cleaning the same sq ft area, water started coming out of the vents, above the receptacle. It was obviously dirty water. (Yes, the dirty water receptacle was empty when I started). I pulled the receptacle out and put it back in, but was hesitant to try it without letting it "dry out." I let it dry out, even using the cool setting on my hair dryer, around the vents. 2 days later, I placed it back in the base to charge. The indicator light on the left side of the panel lit up as if it was still fully charged, then would shut off. I tried it again. It had limited power. It ran a few seconds, and shut off. The lights on the panel started flashing red. One indicator light says rug mode, and the other says receptacle full. I have never used the rug mode as I don't have rugs. The receptacle is completely empty. I'm the type of person who will not complain or send something back right away without troubleshooting it. I've been troubleshooting this for awhile. I've even watched various YouTube videos, but can't figure out the problem. Of course I do not have the box to send it back at this point. Guess I should have returned it immediately instead of assuming it was a design flaw, and had a very short battery life. I am planning on contacting Shark Customer Service. However, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?? Update: just got off the phone with customer support. After she connected to my phone via video, she watched me go through the various troubleshooting steps available to her. The final result was to buy another roller and a new plastic roller cover for something that has never worked properly. I don't believe a new roller (I have extra used ones than are clean) and a new plastic roller cover is going to solve a charging and short run time issue. And, of course the not running for more than 3 seconds now. But, I will also bite the bullet and follow the instructions so that I can call back again and go through another 30 min video call that probably will not solve the problem. I also showed her the problem of it lighting up in the base and then turning off. My advice: either don't buy it or send it back right away if you experience any issues. I will not be purchasing another Shark product. ... show more

  • Didn't work straight out of the box - UPDATED
Style: Cordless + XL Ultra Pack Color: Tea Green
UPDATED 2/7/23: So after my first purchase which didn't work out of the box, I bit the bullet and bought another, because I'd watched all the videos and remained convinced that this was the wet/dry mop I wanted. Not to mention, the Shark rep I'd contacted said this was the first time she'd seen this particular problem. I figured if Try #2 didn't work, I'd go to a different mop. I'm happy to say that as soon as I assembled the device and turned it on - it worked! So I went ahead and fully charged it. I've now used it over the entire house (except the carpeted areas). Here's my thoughts: 1. Fully charged, the mop lasts maybe 25 minutes. This is enough for me to mop two large rooms and an area rug or two. If you have a big house (as I do), prepare to take several days to clean the whole thing. For me that's not a deal-breaker, I don't like to spend my whole day cleaning, so doing it in smaller chunks is really good. It took me four goes to get the entire house and all the area rugs. 2. The clean water tank emptied or nearly emptied with every run. Maybe half the water ended up in the dirty water tank - and it was OPAQUE. So either my floors were horrifically dirty, or... okay, we'll just go with horrifically dirty floors. I haven't gone over any for a second pass so I'm not sure how much was left, but given how dark that water was, wouldn't shock me. I do feel as though the mop did a great clean, though - and the solution that came with it made the whole room smell very fresh. 3. It's LOUD. I waited for my husband to walk the dog to run the mop. My dog heard the mop from the street and came racing back to save me. I set up the cleaning station in the basement behind two closed doors. I can hear the cleaning cycle through the closed doors from another floor in my house. LOUD. 4. The cleaning solution dries very quickly. I was able to walk across a dried floor within a few minutes of having mopped it. 5. I didn't have much trouble picking up small debris - tiny plastic wrapper corners, random hairs, small *small* bits of paper. Anything larger or more noticeable than a quarter, you'll want to pick up by yourself. 6. I DID have trouble getting up dried stains. That Kool-Aid my kid spilled in the corner three days ago and didn't bother to tell me about or wipe up themselves? Nope. The mop got a lot of it, but not all. (Note to self: talk to kid.) Fresher stains (like the Kool-Aid I noticed from this morning but gleefully planned to pick up with the new mop) picked up just fine. TL:DR - Good mop, well worth the money, totally glad I tried again. I can see myself happily pulling this out for mopping every couple of weeks without too much fuss or heartache. That said, if you buy it... make sure it works the MINUTE you unbox it, but rest assured that if it doesn't, you can return it without too much trouble. ORIGINAL: I was so excited to receive this item; I unboxed it, plugged it in immediately to charge overnight (which the manual says is fine to do)... just to discover that it didn't work. Oh, the power turned on just fine, but the brush roller never spun, so I got an error message within ten seconds of trying to clean my floors. I couldn't even make the roller spin with my bare hands, it was STUCK, and for no discernable reason why, exactly as if some technician had tightened a screw too much. After a quick call to Shark's customer service - which I reached without trouble or wait - I was told my only option was to return it. The rep confirmed that the roller should have turned easily with my hands. (I have two other Shark vacuums, and both have rollers that turn with ease.) So, two stars because Shark's service reps were quick and helpful (they even set up a video link on my cell so they could see the vacuum in action!). I'll confirm that the vacuum was very light and would have been a breeze to use, if it'd worked. But docked three stars because it didn't work, and it should have, being brand-spanking-still-with0-the-stickers new. Considering that the manual also said that they test each vacuum before shipping... well, I kinda have to wonder if they really do that, because this seems like the thing they should have caught. I really wanted this device, but now I'm super nervous about ordering a replacement. I guess my floors will stay dirty a little while longer. ... show more
