The media could not be loaded. The velvety texture is nice and from the photo you can see my cat approves! The material is thin with plush texture on one side and a fabric backing, but any heavier and it would likely be too warm for every season and a winter only blanket. The stitching is quality as well and tit drapes nicely, fitting my queen size bed perfectly. Label attached to blanket states 100% polyester but is advertised as velvet, soft brushed microfiber. I see a pattern with Amazon sellers describing their products incorrectly, borderline deceptive - should be described as soft velvet, microfiber “feel” not as what this blanket aspires to be. Also, I wouldn’t say this would qualify as a thick quilt; definitely more of a bedspread/blanket, but I was looking for more of a blanket. Along with the preferred weight of this blanket the impossible to find cocoa brown color is a PERFECT warm brown. Texture not piled, smooth and semi-shiny.
