I had a rough start with this item due to a delivery issue. SHA CERLIN was responsive when I reached out, and they helped me reach an acceptable resolution. I definitely appreciate how quick they communicated. I purchased another frame (ZINUS Suzanne 37 Inch Metal and Wood Platform Bed Frame) from Amazon, and these two frames have a similar look and price point. I'll be comparing these two frames in this review. I rated this SHA CERLIN frame at 5 stars and the ZINUS Suzanne at 2 stars. I like that this one has steel slats which I think will give better support than the other one, which has wood slats. This one comes with rubber pieces that hold the slats in place and prevent metal-on-metal contact/noise. I'll have to see how long those rubber pieces last, but it seems effective for now. The other frame used velcro to keep the slats in place. It gets the job done, but I like this frame's design better. Assembly for the other frame was off to a good start, but eventually I ran into issues with some of the pieces not fitting well. I had to really force some of them together with my full body weight and a rubber mallet, and I find it impossible to disassemble again. That really hurt my impression of the other frame. A main motivator for looking at frames like these two was that they'd be easy to put together and take apart. The other frame fails in this regard. This frame seemed pretty easy to assemble, and I feel like all the parts were machined well enough that nothing needed to be forced together. I expect to be able to take apart portions of the frame as necessary without issue. One issue I did have during assembly was when connecting the side pieces to the end pieces. There's not a whole lot of support during this step, and it can be tricky getting the bolts and holes lined up if you don't maintain a 90 degree contact. After you get the first one going, this adds support making the other pieces easier to attach. Overall, I don't think this was a big enough issue to subtract from my final rating. The other frame seemed to have stained pieces for the headboard/footboard, and the stain hadn't set in fully before they shipped it out. When wiping the surface with the stain, I noticed it seemed to come off onto the rag I used. There was also a strong chemical smell coming from the stained pieces. I did not experience similar issues with this frame. Once put together, I think this bed frame looks pretty good, and it feels pretty solid. For the price, I'm pretty happy with this purchase. This combined with my good experience with customer support gives them a 5 from me. ... show more

I recently moved and my makeshift bed frame I’ve had for years did not make it this time. I searched for days trying to find another bed frame that I liked. Stumbled upon this one and instantly fell in love with the simple, sleek, & modern design. Yet, I didn’t buy it because that 50$ fee to have it sent to me seemed very daunting. I waited a couple months and kept looking at other frames. I didn’t like any of them as much as I loved this one. So I finally made the decision to buy this one. I have absolutely no regrets aside from not buying it sooner. This frame is gorgeous, sturdy, and everything I wanted it to be. Assembly, provided you can follow picture illustrations, was extremely easy. The pictures literally spell everything out for you. I did it myself in under two hours with “help” from my two young kids. I am 5’3” & 270lbs and this thing doesn’t make a single peep when I climb in and out of bed. You can grab the footboard, shake it, and it’s not going to move. Very sturdy. Very sleek. Absolutely stunning. When I finally have the chance to upgrade my bed to a king again (this one is a Queen), I will be coming back to purchase this frame for that one, as well. Basically, if you love this frame, I promise it’s worth every single penny. Buy it now and save yourself the agony of wishing you did. Extra note: the box weighs over 85lbs. This is a quality bed for the price for sure. Doesn’t make a peep and is really solid. I could tell right away even as I assembling it that it would be solid and quiet. Exceeded my expectations. My only compliant is that it does not look the same as the photos. The metal bars in the headboard and footboard are far skinnier than advertised in the photos. Check the photos in reviews for more accurate depictions. Overall very happy with the purchase still. ... show more

    • Sturdy, but not Grandiose

This bed is cute - but it’s not as large or grandiose as the photos make it seem. Once pillows are on it , you can’t see the headboard design at all. It is really sturdy and quiet which I wanted. However, it was not the easiest to put together. I managed but the support bars took me using my hands and legs to squeeze them into place and put the little plastic spacers (it included) in between. I was sweatin’! It is a good bed for the money. But I wish the height was a little more elegant, stylish, and of a statement piece , like it seems to be in the photos! ... show more

I am going to reiterate a couple of things, which other reviewers have mentioned. #1….when doing your assembly, only put screws in enough to catch. You will totally understand why you do this, when putting in the 10 cross bars. You need as much wiggle room as you can give yourself! #2…pay close attention to which screws you use. The headboard has two wooden slats . You use two different screws when attaching those slats. There is an upper brace piece across the top of each, which uses a different screw than the lower. Anyone who can read, and follow instructions can put this bed together, so don’t be afraid to go for it. The directions are excellent and bed solid as well as authentically lovely in its simplicity. Some parts feel flimsy but its solid all together. Not hard to remove protrustions for packing and moving. Easy to move, stays relatively in place. Have to move it back against the wall every so often but its not hard
