So this works much better than unpowered HDMI switches I used. This is working well for me with an xbox and a nintendo switch. Seems well built and easy to operate. The two flaws: 1) This is a silly one. The IR signal on my LG TV remote when I hit volume down triggers the HDMI switch! It will change the input on it. It's a flaw I can get over and I at first considered it bad luck. But this is obviously meant to be used with a TV and LG are one of the biggest TV manufacturers on the planet! Utterly bizarre this wasn't considered. 2) Far more minor, but the LEDs on it are very bright. Again, this is meant to be used with a TV so to have something burning my retinas to the side is a little annoying. I put tape over them. I like the product and will keep it. But I had to knock off a star for those two flaws. ... show more

Just received this today. I haven't use it yet but I wanted others to know that my 3 port spitter DID come with a 5V/1A adapter with an 8 page informative manual mentioning the adapter in it. Adjustments must have been made by the seller for us, so they are listening. I did a lot of research and chose this one for the good reviews, price and the seller's customer service to others . I will be using a Blu Ray, 4K Fire Stick and Roku Ultra 2019 today hooking it up to an old Sharp Aqua 1080p TV so I with have give you an "Update" soon as I know if this little guy will work for my application. Yes, it doesn't come with 2 AA batteries but really, it's only $19.99 and comes with a solid remote, not one of those cheap bubble button remotes. I hope my update helps others and my 5 star rating stays that way after I test it!!! ... show more

I got this HDMI switch to add some ports to my old audio receiver. The build quality is nice, the hdmi ports seem solid, and the body is nicely finished metal that looks good hiding above my receiver. I've been impressed with the "automatic" switch feature. It will switch automatically to the HDMI port when the signal goes active. Saddly this switch is not in logitech's harmony database yet, but the automatic switch feature works so well i havent seen a need for it. It should be possible to "learn" the code from the remote in the box. I tested out the 4k feature on my laptop and it worked as advertised. I have been using it for the last few weeks with no power adapter, powered only via HDMI and haven't had any issues. ... show more

    • Easy Solution For Handling Multiple Devices

So far, so good. My house has one input port in the wall which connects to the mounted TV. It's nearly impossible to access the other ports on the TV. This little device was a perfect solution. I connected my DVD player, cable, and Chromecast devices to the splitter and the input to my one wall port. The splitter worked perfectly. One thing to know is the switcher is set up to automatically access whichever device is turned on, but the Chromecast is always on, so I have to switch channels with the supplied remote to access the other devices (no big deal to me). The manufacturer provides a power cord with a USB connector, so you will need your own adaptor like a phone charger plug. You will need two AAA batteries. I also purchased two short HDMI cords which made for a cleaner connection of my devices to the splitter. Not that I've tested this out, I'm buying a second one for the basement TV setup. Kind of disappointed, it came with no power supply, no hdmi cable, no batteries. The only cable in a box is a micro USB. It is extremely unusual unless it has been returned and came without full set. It works, yes, but not out of the box, you need additional items to get it working. Another negative point - there is no way to disable auto port search. In most cases it is convenient, while sometimes it is very undesirable, it switches from the active screen while you don't need that and you need to push it back to your active machine. What the most annoying is - when your laptop computer is active it "knows" about second screen and works correctly, you can move some applications to the second screen and enjoy working. But once it switches to another computer, often by itself if another connected device boots up or gets connected, the second screen "disconnects" from the first computer and the apps, that have been previously moved to the second screen, get stack on the primary screen. Once the same laptop becomes active you need to rearrange all apps again by moving them to the second screen. It is very unproductive and very irritating. ***************************** Update after over a week. The company is very reliable and stays behind its product. I got all missing parts, that was awesome! After spending a week working with this switch I was able to test its convenience and like it more and more. There are 1 or 2 things I'd design differently, but they are not critical and I can live with it. Thanks for the great product! If you have a tv that doesn't already change input automatically, this little box seems like black magic. It serves two main features well. It turns one hdmi connection into many if you're limited on the number of inputs in your TV. It also changes the input automatically to the device you turn on or plug in. Additionally, if you have two devices on and turn the one you're looking at off, it'll jump back to the other active connection. It had yet to let me down or malfunction and I can not see any degradation in quality compared to a direct connection. ... show more

This switch worked great for a Sony BluRay player, a Steam Link, and a Fire TV Stick connected to an older 720p Vizio TV. The build quality is not great (the bottom panel flexes in when pressed), but it's good enough and the ports feel sturdy. I love that all the ports are on the rear of the unit. 5v USB power is not required in my setup, as the devices supply enough power over HDMI. Your mileage may vary depending on your devices, and you may need to connect the USB power, which is also located on the back. I purchased a very similar-looking device, made by mrocioa, which worked for my BluRay and Steam Link, but not for the Fire TV Stick. Very happy that the SGEYR worked right off! ... show more
