It was easy to assemble but the over all weight of base is light. I’m afraid of it falling over & breaking. Also the lamp is very light in color & they used a black cord instead of white or maybe tan would have worked. I’m sure my kids will accidentally break them by trying to turn them on. So here's the thing. This lamp is perfect for a bedside table. It looks nice. The capacitive touch, while a bit awkward at first, is actually a rather neat feature. The problem comes down to how it works. You tap the metal surfaces on the lamp to turn it on and cycle through the dimming settings. However, if you have this plugged into a switched outlet, these lights won't turn on if you flip the switch. Why? Because the switching system defaults to OFF when power is disconnected. This simple feature means that whenever I want to bring light to my room, I have to stumble all the way down to the bedside table to tap the light. Also my tunable white LED bulbs flicker when used with this lamp. ... show more
