I watched a few YT videos about this brand pole before installing it, which I think helped a lot. However....I still managed to use the wrong size extension out of the two. It's only a 1/2 inch difference. I should have measured. My only complaint is that the two small screws on the top part are very cheap and stripped easily when I tried to unscrew them to slide the cover piece up. I had to get my son to unscrew them with a larger Phillips head on a drill, thankfully they have nothing to do with the integrity of the pole. It does spin perfectly! Been using this pole for about half a year somewhat consistently and it's stood up well! If you're not looking to buy a really expensive pole I'd definitely consider buying this one as you'll only have to upgrade when you feel like it. I'm about 140 lbs and have only had this pole fall once with me on it though I quickly realized this was due to the pole loosening over time. if you use it everyday probably just tighten it once every month or so and you'll never have an issue! 10/10 ... show more

So originally I was skeptical because of the reviews but I ended up ordering it. When I received the pole upon opening the box I realized it was missing instructions I went ahead and looked up serenelife pole instructions videos and found one on YouTube so that was nice after installing however I tried to use it and it proceeded to fall over so I had to reinstall it I think my main issue was that it was crooked so I suggested having another person help hold it up straight to prevent future injuries. After I reinstalled it and made sure it was secure I did some exercises I found on YouTube and it worked great it doesn’t slip at all definitely worth the buy! (Make sure to install it correctly the first time! And no it cannot be installed to a vaulted ceiling lol) ... show more

I used to have an X-Pole nearly 16 years ago (actually, had two of them). I wanted to get back into it (for fitness and fun) but didn't want to drop a few hundred dollars. I had concerns that this wouldn't work in my space, as I have carpet - but it DOES work and has held strong with no slipping. I am a bigger girl (size 14 and over 200lbs) and this holds. Now, I haven't done upside down moves yet, as I want to get a mat (since I broke my tailbone 15 years ago doing this and now at 40 I am afraid to break anything lol), but this pole is really sturdy if installed properly. I also have a child that likes to run and swing on it, and climb it, and it doesn't budge!! If you're looking for an affordable option to get into pole fitness, this is a great option! I just wish the bas was smaller (sometimes I stub my toe) but a mat around the base will eliminate that. Oh.. and if you are using on carpet, please invest in knee pads... carpet burns are NOT fun haha! ... show more

    • Parts Don't Fit Together *BUT you can fix it*

I have updated from 1 to 3 starts as the mufacturing defect I spoke of was easy enough to fix on my own. Simply filed down the little extra globs of metal on the base and then the bottom piece slid over with ease, and after I fixed that the pole was easy to put up, very sturdy, and spins well. Has also been doing a good job staying put on my carpet. Overall I am happy for the price point. As many others have talked about, there is a manufacturing error in many of these that makes it so the first piece that should miunt on the base simply will not fit over. I saw the priduct had 4.5 star average still so I rolled the dice, but unfortunately I recieved one of the defective ones and this will be heading right back to Amazon. Honestly, I bought it through the Amazon Warehouse, expecting when they told me it was in very good used condition that it had been examined and would not be a faulty product but unfortunately this was not the case... ... show more
