The unit seems well built and blows air as advertised. However, t he control unit is impractial because it does not allow enough time on/off features. Most importanly, if the power is interrupted the control unit resets to off, no matter what programming was chosen.

After using this for a few months in my fish room, I've been very disappointed and even frustrated with this product. If you've had fish tanks for any amount of time, you're used to equipment that you can just set and forget. This is not it. Setup is frustrating thanks to a very poorly translated user manual. The pump does not come back on automatically after a power outage. It's easy to set it to a mode where it will run for only a few hours and never come back on. It occasionally loses pressure when turned off and back on, too. I've had to take airstones off of several of my lines now because the pump cannot push air through them (after being able to previously). Your air pump is practically the beating heart of your fish room. Don't cheap out. Get the one Aquarium Co-Op sells instead. ... show more

    • Very Nice Pump, But a Few Things To Note

In general, I think this pump is very good, and it's the kind of thing you want for a small pond or large aquarium. Here are a few points to keep in mind: - It's great that it comes with a timer, that will help save electricity - it really doesn't need to run 24/7. Otherwise the pump is 18 watts, which isn't too bad. - The main outlet of the pump is larger than your standard aquarium tubing. This is important to note, but it comes with an adaptor that breaks out into 8 standard aquarium tubing outlets. That's pretty good except for one thing - if you don't want or need 8 outlets, there is no valve to close them and no cover. That is kind of a show-stopper because you can't leave any of them "open" or you won't get any pressure on the rest of them. I only needed three, so I closed the rest of them off with waterproof caulk. The manufacturer should consider changing this up. BTW, the main outlet seems to be 8mm (see seller's images). - The manual is not that good, to say the least. It is hard to understand. You can figure it out, but the seller would do well to improve it. - According to the manual, (I think) it says it's not waterproof, so it needs to be kept out of the elements. - It runs fairly quietly considering its power. Overall, if you understand the above, I say this is a good item and worth considering. There is a two-year warranty, so rest assured. Works great so far. ... show more

Have used this going on 6 months in an indoor hydroponic system. Good aeration, strong pump. Easy to control. Almost a set and forget item. Somewhat noisy, but not bad when you have it inside a grow tent. Can get warm, don't put in direct sunlight or grow light.

Thus aerator works great and so far flawless. I have multiple large tanks setup for different species of baitfish. And this supplies air for them all. I've been running it for about a month now and have had a single issue. Couldn't ask for a better product at this price

This is a nice and quite pump. Definitely more air than I expected. Fit perfectly under my fake rock to keep out of the elements. Definitely like the timer features. I used to always just run our pumps 24hrs a day. Took a little fabrication to hook up my two air stones but it turned out great and I'm definitely happy with the results.
