  • Fairly easy with help of an experienced DIYer
Size: 24000 BTU
Excellent product. Heats quickly and quietly. Alexa setup was quick- just swung the unit up on its prop leg and one screw then found the plug for the Alexa device. Biggest issue was YouTube vacuum pump instruction unclear on what to do when turning off the pump - you turn the blue valve OFF first! Took our time over a weekend and succeeded. About $350 for pump, gauge, stand, and line cover kit. Had a digital torque already. Love being able to check the temp in the room via Alexa even when the unit is off. I hear other split apps DON’T show room temp. ... show more

  • Fantastic value
Size: 24000 BTU
Very easy to install if you know what you are doing. Mini split units are easy to do. This unit draws between 3 and 4 amps per leg full blast under heavy load. 240 single phase. For the love of God please stop putting nm cable in conduit as I have seen in multiple split installs, it is against code. Use THWN or THHN that can be used in wet locations. Make sure you have a nice concentric flare tool, and a vacuum for the line set. This is very well made, super quiet and super efficient. Can't say enough good about this unit. For the btu output it has I can't believe how little power this heat pump uses. This i great for bumper days with hydronic heat and a combi boiler. It can help on risky short cycle days. And the air conditioner works like a charm. Make sure and maintain it well keeping the outside unit clean as well as the inside. Both should be cleaned at least yearly. It is huge on your wall so be prepared for that. Don't skimp on your install quality and make sure you properly run the condensate drain. It is a nice looking unit, but please start making them black. 🙂 Thanks Sennville for a great split unit at a great price. I plan to install more of these in the future. ... show more

  • Senville 24k BTU Heatpump
Size: 24000 BTU
For years I have been cooling my shop with a 18000btu thru wall air conditioning unit. It worked great however it was noisy and not energy efficient. It did not have heat and I used a 100lbs propane tank with a heater buddy to heat shop in winter months. Was not cost effective anymore as I run a business from my shop. For hours I scrolled thru reviews on Amazon for various brands and models. I ended up with the 21.5 seer heat pump 24000btu system. I have had it a couple weeks and boy does it cool my shop and I can barely hear it running! This was the best investment I have made. I brought home my hvac tools (primary job is HVAC). Pros: -easy to install (hvac background here) -extremely quiet -well packaged -quick delivery via FedEx freight -great price for a 21.5 seer system - excellent cooling haven’t tried heat yet as it’s 90 plus here still. Lol. cons: -The 4 wire power cable is shorter than the lineset which is 15 feet so knowing I would need extra I purchased a roll of 4 wire to extend the existing cable. -does not work with Senville app only works thru Alexa. Although not bad I wanted ability to control their separate app so I purchased the ceilo breez plus thermostat now all my mini splits can be controlled they one app. -not only problem with this brand however it’s all mini splits I do not like the condensation line that come with any mini split system so I run my own 3/4” pvc lineset with a Ptrap inline. ... show more

  • Great for the money! Great for a self-installer too!
Size: 24000 BTU
Having now had this unit for 5 months, I am going to share a couple thoughts. (24k btu model) This unit was a replacement for an old whole-home A/C unit that quit working years ago, and would have cost $$$$ to fix... We have a 100+ year old smaller 2-story farmhouse, and with the cost of propane heat, I wanted to be able to supplement with something electric and very efficient. Enter the mini-split. This was my first time installing a split-system unit, so while I didn't find it difficult, it was somewhat new. Hardest part was making the hole in the wall for the hoses to run outside... You will want a strong friend to help with the installation of both units, as they are reasonably heavy and bulky. I reused the power feed from the old A/C, with a new disconnect switch, and the cement chunk the old one was on too. A dab of Nylog on the pipes, and yes, I did use a torque wrench on the nuts, and we were ready to evac the system. I already had a vacuum pump from working on auto A/C systems, so just needed the adaptor and the right gauge set. system vac-ed down and held great, released the freon and everything worked great! This little unit kept our whole house nice and cool during the warmer weather, and has been doing very well now in the cooler weather too! Keeps our house nice and toasty down to at least 30 f outside, we will see how it does below that soon... Only complaint is the built in thermostat seems to "float" a bit more than expected, but simply turning the remote to "follow me" mode (using the temp sensor in the remote rather than the one in the head unit) makes it work quite nicely. Highly recommended for the DIY-er with some prior A/C experience, and if you don't mind not having the warranty... Will keep a pretty large space nice and cool, and drastically cut your gas bill when it's not bitterly cold outside. Would definitely buy again! ... show more

  • Excellent unit, bought for energy-efficient heating and am not disappointed
Size: 24000 BTU
Got the Aura 24k BTU model couple months ago for cost-efficient heating in the Rocky Mountains.. Lowest outside has been is 10F, worked well though the defrost mode is a bit loud and it has to defrost often at those temperatures. I installed it in a yurt and it holds the temperature well even with the low R factor. I sized it with the R factor and high ceilings in mind, got the 24k unit for a 500 sq ft space. The best part is the electric bill hardly took a hit, though that might change as the winter progresses and we use it more. It still gets hot during the day and the cooling mode is excellent as well. My only complaint is the power and signal cable between the outside and indoor units was several feet shorter than the lineset, so if you're pushing the limit of the provided 16' lineset, do yourself a favor and order a 25' cable. If you're doing a DIY be very careful bending the pipes on these larger models, the larger diameter pipe is prone to kinking and the pipe is ruined if that happens. Happened to me on this install and had to buy a replacement lineset. ... show more
