I had been wanting a knitting machine for a very long time, but never bit the bullet because of the bad reviews. I’m pleasantly surprised to say I love this machine, and most of the bad reviews are “user error”. I won’t lie I did notice that some yarns were “sticky” and it dropped/tucked a lot of stitches. I watched alot of YouTube for hints and most of them were suggesting to mess with the tension, and that just didn’t work. You need to weigh your work down (with more weight than you would think) I use an upside down pot lid and more weight inside of it. Now those “troublesome yarns” I don’t have anymore trouble with. It is 100% plastic and I’m not expecting it to last years of consistent use, but this machine has already paid for itself many times over. ... show more

    • No regrets on my purchase
I debated for quite a while about whether or not to buy this Sentro knitting machine. I also considered a much more expensive brand. Since I had no experience with a circular knitting machine, I opted to try out this Sentro machine to see if I even enjoyed machine knitting (I crochet by hand, but I do not knit). I've been making beanie hats and ear warmers on the Sentro for several weeks now. In the beginning, I was getting tucked and dropped stitches, but seldom get them now. It's really a matter of taking the time to watch YouTube videos, keeping your patience, not forcing things, and learning by trial and error. I see so many people claiming that the machine is junk, getting frustrated and sending it back. I think this machine does the job just fine, and makes very nice looking knit stitches.     • Easy to use
The knitting machine is easy to use once you understand how to start the first row. It comes with directions to assemble and use and explains what each piece is for. There is even a qr code to watch a video. I made my first knit beanie so easily and I don't know how to knit or crochet! I can't wait to make other things with it. Turning the knob does get tiring after a while of making a few beanies, so pace yourself. You could have dropped stitches if you don't pay attention to the tension of the yarn you are feeding. ... show more

I was skeptical but decides to give it a try and gave it to my 9 yr old grand daughter for Christmas It is a hit. We have successfully made 6 beanies. Can't use thick yarn but besides that it works as advertised. Really happy with this purchase. Great gift

    • Stopped working after 2nd use
Worked great through practice and then made one hat and it stopped working right. Leaving holes and gaps. $60 for garbage and I missed the return window by not immediately ripping it open and trying it since you only have 30 days to return.

Gave my daughter this for Christmas. She set it all up and was ready to make some items. She makes hats for Cancer patients. She can make a hat in one hour. she is having a ball making them.

I was pleased with my new sentro. It was nice and moved better then the last one without getting stuck 3 stuches before the white hook.only thing is it is missing the suction cups thebyension piece and the screws needed for the legs.
