    • Our second Sensi, had to fight with wifi setup.

One it was configured, it seems to work fine. I like the smaller size and the modern black front to the thermostat. It took only about 15 minutes to swap the wires from our old "dumb" thermostat and test it out. We had lots of trouble setting up the wifi. We tried replacing the batteries, resetting the thermostat to factory (press and hold the middle button for about 5 seconds), nothing seemed to work. My very recent Android phone failed on setting up the wifi. It was able to start the spinny animation going on the thermostat, but never found any wifi access points. I thought the WiFi was broken on the thermostat. I was wrong. What finally worked was running setup from my old Android 10 tablet. That immediately got further in the setup and was able to see all the WiFi SSIDs in the neighborhood, and configuration completed successfully. My Google Pixel 7a, which is running Android 13, could not get wifi setup to work. Trying a different device was not on the list of suggestions they give, so we lucked out there. So if you can't get the WiFi setup to work, try a different phone or tablet, it may have better success. ... show more

It’s a pretty good thermostat. Manly bought it so I could lock people out but you can’t do it on the app or thermostat. You have to pay a subscription and go to a manager site to control it. I tried it but it was a pain to do it. No app for the manager app so having to type in the address ever time was a pain so canceled my free trial. Everything else works ok. It has a low and high setting but have a low limit for A/c and high limit for heat. Wish it had a low and high limit for both but for the money it does the job. This thermostat is very simple and easy to install. I had mine physically mounted and operating in less than 45 minutes - starting with the removal of the old thermostat. The best part of the entire operation is Sensi's support team. Have a question?? CALL THEM. They may take a little while to get to you, but you will indeed get an actual fellow human on the line and they (by me they're 100%) WILL get your problems and questions answered and handled. I actually called them in advance of my purchase because I was concerned about the thermostat being compatible with my heat pump unit and old thermostat, and they were most helpful in making my decision to purchase the Sensi unit and what I needed to do when installing it, so it would work correctly with my system. After installation, I did have another (minor) problem with the operation of the thermostat, = another call to their support. = another support problem solver answer. = Thermostat has been flawless in operation ever since. ... show more

Purchased this thermostat to help us manage our power saving program during peak hours. Sensi has perfected DYI by making the installation so simple for novices like me. Their step by step tutorial with helpful pics made installation a breeze. I had some self inflicted issues that required phone customer service. Being summer and their peak season, it took a while for my call to be answered. No worries though as the person handling my issue was patient, and stayed on the phone until everything worked as it should. This thermostat is precisely what we needed. The Sensi app that controls the thermostat from any location, is so user friendly. We’ve scheduled a seven day program that will maximize our savings with our utility company. I should mention that being able to schedule individual days as well as any number of times throughout the day the temperature we preferred was one of the main factors in choosing Sensi. I had an older thermostat that I hated. It gobbled batteries like they were going out of style and the interface was lousy. Also, it would lose wifi connection easily then be hard to reconnect. This thermostat looks great. The interface is super simple and easy to operate but most important it maintains its connection to our wifi and Alexa. Okay about this Sensi lite , the shipping was quick and I was able to mount & program it in about 10 minutes total. It easily connected to my WiFi , I am getting a rebate through my power company. I also signed up for an energy savings program and got my first savings event. I really love everything about this other then the fact the day or two after purchase the priced dropped by 10$ so that part I’m not very happy about at all.
