I walk a few miles a day for work. From December to March, the weather is freezing or below most days, often with gusty winds. This is the second year I've used this hood. I ordered a new one this year because the pull tie got separated from the inner seam. I cannot recommend this hood enough. While it's not pretty, it's warm and allows me to make my daily walks in comfort. I recommend you knot the pull tie so it doesn't get separated if you wash it. There is a nice movable mouth panel that helps seal up your face up to your eyes. You can close the pull tie so only your eyes show and your whole face is covered. I'm super picky about fabric next to my skin and this doesn't smell or bother me at all. It has a nice give and isn't tight around your head. I wear my headphones under it and there's plenty of room left. If you want to be warm, get this! ... show more

Very warm and useful. Wind resistant and soft. I usually wear just a balaclava, am able to wear this and stay really warm even without the balaclava. Bought 1/2 price ($15). It has held up for a few days in the slopes so far. Not sure how it will hold up on a full on windy day so would not pay full price until that’s known! ... show more
