  • Nearly perfect
Color: E12 Color Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought these for some lamps that I didn't want to pay the expense of a Hue for. They work great with Home Assistant, and even appear to have an energy monitor feature in them but unlike the Hue bulbs, there is no way to set them to remember their last state after a power failure. Consequentially, each time we lose power, they turn themselves on. ... show more

  • Love these lights
Color: E12 Color Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
My husband is a little picky about our LED lights and connecting them to google. This is the only brand he will buy. He buys them online because it is a better deal than buying them in person. The brightness is great and they work well with google. They are super easy to install, but we had some light fixtures that were too shallow for this bulb. We also need to buy adapters for a few fixtures because they are set for odd sizes of bulbs. These bulbs are long lasting, which is great as well. They do not stand up to kids flickering lights with the switch, so it is recommended that switches be taped if that is an issues in your residence. ... show more

  • Will not connect to the Hubitat C-8 Hub
Color: B11 Soft White Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I had four of these connected just fine to my Hubitat C-7 hub using the Generic ZigBee bulb driver. I migrated to the new C-8 hub and shortly after two of these bulbs became disconnected. Those bulbs will now not reconnect, so I bought two new bulbs and still they will not connect either, or specifically they have issues trying to initialize to become connected, and if they do end up initializing, they work for about ten minutes before dropping off. I tried every trick to get them back on, rebuilding ZigBee network, pairing close to the hub, pairing close to repeaters... eventually they initialize but then will randomly drop off the network and not work again. This is a known problem with the C-8 Hubitat hub that still has not been resolved. These bulbs will still connect to my older C-7 hub without issue. The issue on the C-8 shows itself mostly with end devices, and these bulbs do NOT act as repeaters like most mains-powered bulbs will. So being only an end-device, these will have issues with the C-8 hub until they fix the problem. Other than that, they are great bulbs when they are working and connected. ... show more

  • Limited app
Color: E12 Color Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Limited controls and odd behavior when powered down and back on (they're smart on a dumb switch). Often they delay then try to take on some seemingly impossible to define preset state, either thinking they're going back to the last known state, or to some powered off situation. This happens every time they are powered on, but each bulb has mixed success and either ends up on at full power, dimmed, or most commonly, off. ... show more

  • Wild Ride of Frustration
I recently purchased the Sengled Zigbee Smart Bulb and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. First of all, the packaging was a nightmare. It took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to open the darn thing. And when I finally did, I was greeted with a tiny light bulb that looked like it belonged in a dollhouse. I mean, I know it's a candelabra bulb, but come on, Sengled, give me something I can actually see! But okay, I was determined to make this work. I downloaded the Sengled app and started the setup process. And let me tell you, it was like navigating a maze. I had to connect to the hub, pair the bulb, create a room, name the bulb...it was all just a blur of confusion. And when I finally thought I had it all set up, the app crashed. Of course it did. But after some trial and error (and a few choice curse words), I finally got the bulb working with my SmartThings and Echo devices. And I have to say, it was pretty cool to be able to change the color of my light with just my voice. I felt like a wizard or something. However, there were a few hiccups along the way. Sometimes the bulb wouldn't respond to my commands, and other times it would change to a completely different color than what I asked for. I mean, I love a good surprise as much as the next person, but not when it comes to my lighting. Overall, I'd give this product a solid 1 out of 5 stars. Sure, it's a cool concept, but the execution is lacking. And let's be real, if you're going to spend money on a smart bulb, you want it to work seamlessly, not cause you endless frustration. So unless you're a glutton for punishment (or just really love tiny light bulbs), I'd say steer clear of the Sengled Zigbee Smart Bulb. When it comes to selecting the best smart bulb, there are several parameters to consider, including: 1. Compatibility: Make sure the smart bulb is compatible with the smart home ecosystem you are using, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomeKit. 2. Connectivity: Choose a smart bulb that supports the type of connectivity you need, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee. 3. Brightness: Look for a bulb that offers the right level of brightness for your needs, measured in lumens. A typical 60-watt incandescent bulb produces around 800 lumens. 4. Color temperature: Consider the color temperature range of the bulb, which is measured in Kelvin (K). Lower temperatures (2700-3000K) are warmer and produce a more yellow light, while higher temperatures (5000-6500K) are cooler and produce a more blue light. 5. Color options: If you're interested in colored lighting, choose a bulb that offers a wide range of colors and hues. 6. Energy efficiency: Look for bulbs with high energy efficiency ratings, such as Energy Star certification, to save money on your energy bills. 7. Control options: Consider how you want to control your smart bulb. Do you want to use an app on your smartphone, voice control, or a physical remote control? 8. Brand and price: Choose a reputable brand that offers a good balance of features and price. 9. By considering these parameters, you can select the best smart bulb for your specific needs and preferences. ... show more

  • Pairs with the hub, but not accessory
Color: E12 Color Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Nice bulbs for color and brightness, paired easily with Hubitat. Performs as intended, but apparently Sengled uses some protocol that precludes pairing with Lutron controllers. Description says Zigbee 3.0 but that is not the whole story. I will need to buy a Sengled smart dimmer, apparently.

  • Work great with Home Assistant and Zigbee dongle
Color: B11 Soft White Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
This is my first go with Home Assistant and non-hue branded lights. I am glad to say it went well! I purchased 4 of these bulbs to go in a ceiling fan. The zigbee integration immediately detected the bulbs and they were all set up, in a group, and controllable from the dashboard in less than 5 minutes. The same room has 4 Philips Hue bulbs in ceiling canisters. These bulbs respond faster than the hue bulbs and have comparable light output for a fraction of the cost. ... show more
