Performs well. I'm writing my first toaster review because wanted a toaster that does English muffins in one pass, but very few toaster reviews that mention muffins or bagels. This one looked good and had high rating. It DOES toast English muffins in just one pass on #7 or 8 PLUS the bagel button (see pics of Thomas muffin). When toasting bread, the inner sides of the slices come out a bit lighter. The top warming rack that's included for croissant or rolls is a nice bonus. I had an old purple toaster for several years. It was great but it was getting to the point that the only way to clean the inside was to take it apart. I found this model and had to buy it-I was not too sure of the color-some purples are really pink and not as pictured. Once I received it I knew it was perfect. The color is great-a little shinny but it is lavender. It toasts perfectly, does not get too hot on the sides and has adjustments to suit everyone's taste as to how they like their bread toasted-easy to see what level you have it on. The bottom slot to clean bread crumbs is easy to access. The toaster itself is taller than normal toasters but its sleek and looks great and has other colors to choose from.
