These kids walkie-talkies have surprisingly good range and good voice quality. Much better than the ones I grew up with. My only wish as a parent is that they had a lower volume setting. they do have adjustable volume. It just doesnโ€™t seem to go low enough. One downside is that they each take four AAA batteries. And if they get left on for a night or a day you can quickly go through a lot of batteries. I recommend getting some rechargeable batteries that way if the kids forget to turn them off, you can just recharge the batteries and the fun continues. 4 stars because I needed to buy $14 worth of rechargeable batteries to make work for the long term. ... show more

I had my neighbor take on to there house right next door, and I could clearly talk to them, and hear them. They live about 30 yards away. I was very impressed. It's walkie talkies. I would say that it was annoying to use AAA batteries, and 4 of them! I was more expecting 2x AA batteries. Hope these walkie talkies don't have a high vampire power consumption when off.
