This mug is a mom's dream come true! it looks like a regular mug but keeps your coffee warm which is basically impossible with two boys running around my house. Here are my thoughts after my first couple of uses: The Mug: At first, it seemed a tiny bit heavy coming out of the box, but I love how comfortable it is when I am drinking my coffee. The color is gorgeous, and it feels very high quality. Quick heads up, It's a hand wash deal, but trust me, that extra minute is totally worth it. Set-Up: The manual that comes with the mug was helpful, but really the mug is simple to use. You press one button to control everything. I love the little icons on the mug that show you what temperature you're drinking at. Heating: I was sold the moment this thing took room temperature coffee and brought it back to deliciously warm. It works super well, and I like that on the coaster it keeps your coffee warm however long you're drinking it. It also turns itself off automatically, which is necessary in my household. If you're a busy mom who is desperate for a hot cup of coffee, get yourself a Thermacup ASAP! ... show more

    • FALSE ADVERTISING BUYER BEWARE
I was going to wait and do a long term review, BUT......This is a poor copy of the overpriced Ember brand, yeah its 1/2 price but doesn't work 1/4 as good. It is significantly more heavy (not a big deal) the cup on charge base is wobbly. THE HEAT SETTINGS ARE INNACURATE AND THE AMOUNT OF TIME CLAIMED KEEPS WARM FALSE, and I am in sunny socal, would be worse in wintry conditions. Like another reviewer stated, the high setting is scalding. The low charge OK for imbibing. On low, fully charged batt lasted 30 mins or so. WILL RETURN. Packaging near identical to Ember brand, I'm not saying to pay too much for that, Maybe I'll try the Next Mug next. I have a couple of embers, they also aren't perfect. I liked the idea that this was simpler (no phone) and of course cheaper. Skip it. DO NOT GIFT IT. Very disappointed. yeah maybe I just got a bad one, but others have pointed out same issues. It gets worse, doesnt turn off as stated esp. on charger POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD?! tested again 30 mins batt life on low and its 70 degrees ambient. Return begun. Purchased the Nextmug to try next. Ember is flawed (15 bucks for a top!!!!), but have great tech support. Back to the drawing board Thermacup, should probably be recalled, seriously. ... show more

I own an Ember and love it and wanted a second mug, so I thought I would save a little money and try a different brand. Well the Thermacup works just as well as the Ember when it comes to battery life (I have not scientifically tested it) and it is very comfortable to handle. I do like the thicker handle but it has one major flaw. The lowest temperature is just too hot for me. I like to take a good sip of tea when I drink from it and also take my mediciations using my tea and it is just too hot. The Ember is set at the perfect temperature for me and I really regret not getting a second Ember instead. ... show more

I chose this cup because it was cheaper than the Ember but had a year warranty, cover and I liked what I read in the review’s. I had an Ember, the inside began to crack before a year and shortly after 12 months the interior was flaking off terribly. The company never responded to my email. I love this cup. I got the 12 oz which is perfect for 10 oz if coffee with room for creamer. Hot water will fill it almost to the top which is perfect for tea or hot chocolate. It keeps the liquid hot and is adjustable. The inside is a much better material. Love the color too. Would choose this any day over the Ember. ... show more

The cup works well and is a good value for the price. I had an Ember prior to this which I liked, but I decided to try this as a less expensive option and because they claim their battery lasts longer than Ember, plus they include a lid. The reality is I got about 1 hour with Ember on a hotter setting then Thermacup which only lasts about 45 min on the lowest setting. The manufacturer claims 80 min. Not to mention this is while I'm drinking it and reducing the volume needing energy to heat it. With the lid on, it will last much longer, but I don't like drinking with it so really don't use it. ... show more
