Damn, for a device that does not run on electricity or batteries, this makes some really ASTONISHING espressso coffee! The instructions on the box itself was super easy to understand. Got some french roast coffee powder and hot water ready, and started pumping out espresso coffee within minutes of receiving the box through Amazon! Easy to tell that coffee is coming out as you feel extra pressure on the device and the pump. You will know its done when the pressure gets back to being 'too easy'. Santa brought me a minipresso and I am thrilled! The shot it pulls is rich with beautiful crema, and it made me realize that the fancy machine I use every morning at home is falling short. This has made the best coffee I've ever had at work. I use it daily. IT requires some patience to use, but the results have been worth it. Using Illy Intenso coffee. We'll see how it holds up with heavy use, but it's been a good purchase.

The product works great and is easy to use. It seems pretty durable despite the plastic design. Doesn't seem to hard to clean. I ran hot water through it without coffee grounds to help clean residue from the bottom where espresso comes out. I used a manual burr grinder and aimed for a fine ground something between the coarse ground for an aero press/French press and extra fine regular espresso grind. The only con I have with it is the small volume of espresso it makes. Tried running water through a second run with the same wet grounds but it came out like weakish coffee. Not quite enough to have a satisfying beverage from one run alone. However it pairs perfectly with an aero press if you want to add one or two runs of espresso to it. ... show more

Who invented this should get a Nobel prize! I can have espresso anytime, anywhere, as long as I have hot water and coffee. The espresso quality is impressive (obviously you need to have quality coffee. It comes frothy and strong as it should. I never write reviews but I had to for this one . I made a serious life change of working till 3am to getting a job where I have to get up at 5am. So you can imagine that's not an easy transition. I bought this little dude and it gives me the kick that I need to wake up . It's SO easy to use . I also have a small kitchen so it's nice to get kitchen gadget that doesn't take up realestate . If you have an electric kettle(I do for my French press) you can have a shot of espresso in no time . Im also an outdoorsy person so this is perfect to take camping too .     • I like it however…
I like it however I see many design flaws. First it’s plastic! I was sort of hoping it was some sort of metal. At least the tank where you put the hot water. The design flaws I find is cleaning. You can’t open the housing part where the expresso comes out. So who knows how much that will eventually build up with old coffee stains, perhaps making the espresso tasting bad (eventually though). You can only add clean water as if you were making espresso and try to clean it as best as possible. The other flaws, doesn’t keep the coffee that hot really, also it’s not enough espresso, it seems like a little less than a shot. Plus if you want to make more, it’s sort of best to let everything dry. I suppose you make another 3/4 shot when everything is wet. Also drying takes rather long! You have to shake and make sure all the water is out before putting it back together. But if you are traveling you can wait until you get home. Or just leave it open to air out. I do like the taste of the espresso shot, you get that cream too which is very nice. Plus the coffee isn’t burnt or so bitter, unless you have old beans of course. So I’m pleased with that. I think it’s a start for a decent design but I do think they should fix some of the flaws. We’ve been using this everyday and so far the press part works fine. I can see this could be difficult for someone with arthritis. But as far as the quality of the espresso, it is nice although I wish the coffee stayed sort of hot. This serves a purpose, prob best for traveling or camping, maybe not for everyday usage. I gave it 3 stars because of design flaws. Maybe I would have given it 3.5 stars if I could. I would even pay more if this were made out of some sort of safe metal. Best ... show more
