I bought this to use on my lab and shepherd. It works great! The tines are coated at the tips which makes it safer to use and more gentle on their skin than straight wire. You still need to use a light pressure to be safe but the brush still works well at removing tons of hair. It is so easy to clean the hair from the brush by just pressing the button, the tines retract and then you can just wipe the hair from the brush. I am very happy to have found this brush for my dogs. I have a rescued red nose pitbull, yellow lab, Part Shar Pei 70 lb dog. She sheds so bad. I was in desperate need for a brush that is effective at removing the fallen hair from her coat. This brush is extremely effective. By running this brush through her coat a few times it's already packed full of her Loose Hair. The self-cleaning Easy Button is so effective and better than the brush I had before where I had to physically pull all the Loose Hair out of the bristles. This saves so much time and is more effective. As you can see through the photos I've shared the massive amount this brush has collected in just a few Strokes. I dont dislike anything. The tips of the bristles are coated so it is not painful for the animal. Hair removal from brush is shockingly simple. Excellent design and sturdy. Takes the dread out of daily brushing my hesitant friends.

This product saves me time each time I use it. I have a English Bulldog that has the thick tufted wirery hair. When I brush her on a daily basis, it removes the under wirery hair and it comes off easily by a push of the button. It's a keeper for me, this brush is nice.

Holy furballs, Batman! This Self Cleaning Slicker Brush has turned my grooming nightmares into a comedy show! 😂 As a pet parent to a German Shepherd puppy (aka the Fur Factory) and a cat with delusions of lionhood, managing their shedding used to be like trying to vacuum a tornado. Enter the slicker brush—my new best friend! First off, the self-cleaning feature is pure sorcery. One click and POOF! The fur disappears like my motivation on a Monday morning. No more yanking out clumps of hair from the brush like it’s a spaghetti fork. It’s like a magic trick, but without the top hat and rabbit. My pets are all about it too. The brush is so gentle, my dog actually stopped his dramatic Oscar-winning performance of "Escape from Grooming." Now he sits there, eyes half-closed, like he’s at a spa.
