I ordered two of these to go on either side of my bed. I liked the idea of the nightstand/2 drawers/bookcase combination, and these units didn’t disappoint. I thought they would be a little wider, but they are exactly as described. I guess they simply seem wider in the pictures. I read the reviews about how some folks found these difficult to assemble, but I didn’t have a problem. I (a 60-something grandma) put them both together by myself in the space of one afternoon. I took my time and looked at the diagrams carefully, I must say, however, the effort would have been even easier had there have been actual directions. With only diagrams to go by, I can see how assembly could be challenging for some. They are not wobbly and don’t feel flimsy. Only one piece out of the many, many pieces contained in two units arrived with minor damage. Fortunately, the damaged area could not be seen once the unit was assembled.and does not affect its structural soundness, so I chose not to send it back or try to get a replacement part. I took one star away for the price being too high. But then, the price of EVERYTHING is too high these days. ... show more

I used a measuring tape before purchasing to see how it'd fit. I knew it was on the small side. It's really cute, but once we finally finished putting it together, it was obvious that it should have been listed under children's furniture. It'd be perfect for a kid's room. One star off for that, and one star for how difficult it was to put together. The drawers in particular were a pain in the... Needs better instructions at the least, so another star off for that. My bed sits me about 40 inches off of the ground, so normal nightstands or bedside tables aren't going to do anything for me. On top of that, most of the 'standard' tables with shelves I find on Amazon are cheap garbage with fabric drawers, and some of the nice ones like this have built in LED lights and charging stations. Those options sound nice to me, but I know my luck, and just having those be integral is going to 100% result in having burnt out lights and dead outlets that I can't easily replace. Putting this together wasn't too difficult, it just took a fair bit of time. They supply everything you need (at least in theory, more on that later), including a screwdriver, but to be honest you aren't getting far with it, so use a normal screwdriver with an actual handle. It takes a few minutes to understand what you're looking at with the instructions being somewhat simple, just pictures listing what hardware goes into which wooden panels. Once you wrap your head around it though, it's a pretty steady affair. Now, I said they send you all you need in theory. I had my piece almost fully assembled, having thought I'd noticed everything I needed, when I got to the bottoms of the drawers, and noticed I didn't have them at all. Under normal circumstances I would have been pretty pissed off, either having to take everything apart and send it back if I was impatient, or getting in touch with the seller to possible get two drawer bottoms. Both of those options were honestly not something I felt like dealing with, so thankfully I remembered I had a sheet of masonite laying around doing nothing. Some more time later after cutting out some drawer bottoms, I had a finished product. Mount it to the wall with the supplied mount, and we're good to go. The only thing I can say to be careful about is inserting the drawers, if any of the screws aren't sunk as well as they can be, you might pop the bearings loose on the rails, but with some luck you can reinsert them and get everything settled right. Because this is all made out of particle board, it's innately got some good weight behind it, so it really isn't going anywhere once you mount it, and it can hold some pretty decent weight itself. The drawers are super quiet and smooth moving, they hold a good amount of stuff, and because the shelves are open back, you have a good way you route cables and cords if you have anything on them that need power. Add some screw hooks on the side for some added storage of things like your keys or sunglasses, maybe run some LED light strip on the shelves, and you have a very solid, very useful, multifunction piece of furniture. Just make sure you have all of the pieces you need before you start building everything. ... show more

Me and my girlfriend have been searching for a nightstand/bookshelf combo. Well, we have fallen in love with this. We ordered two of them to have a matching set for both sides of the bed. It took about two hours to build for our first one due to my back pain, but the next day I built the second one in under an hour as I knew roughly where the parts go without having to look at the instructions every minute. We were worried about it tipping over too easily, but the good news is that it's got a fairly low center of gravity. The drawers close easy and smoothly. On my first build I wasn't paying attention to the position of the drawer rails and had both of them sticking out a notch too far that the drawer wouldn't close all the way, so I had to painstakingly readjust the drawer rails a notch back. The wood is strong enough and has good weight to it. The texture of the coating is great to the touch. The top shelf is perfect for a small lamp, which I have two matching lamps on top of it. ... show more
