This chair futon is very comfortable and the fabric is a soft velvet. It converts easiley from a loveseat to a bed. I tried another chair but the fabric was advertised as leather and it was very rough fabric, not leather. This fits very well in my home office.

I just received the unit, so my review is not based on repeated use. That said, of all the units I found on amazon, this one had the sturdy metal hardware and a good ergonomic setup due to the pullout being on one side. It was easily assembled, and looks nice. I can see the upholstery is not the greatest quality, but it is decent for what this is. The color is true to the picture. The pilot holes for the wheels on the pullout were just for two screws, not all 4...but it seems reasonable. (It puts the wheels square, and the remaining screws were put in easily without pilot holes. So I don't know why folks complained about it in reviews.) Others have said the seat is hard, and I agree -- especially as a chair or chaise lounge. I could sleep on the unit, but am recycling a memory foam topper to be a pad for sleeping. Also, it is plenty long for 5'7" me. Overall, I honestly think this unit should hold up to occasional use. But I think anyone who has one needs to respect its limits. Don't flop on it, don't wrestle it around roughly or often, and respect the weight limit. If you do that, I think you'll be happy with it. But if you plan to use it like a futon and sleep on it nightly and fold it daily, I suspect it will have a limited lifespan. While the box looks huge when shipped, the couch is the right size for my cubicle office. See dog for scale. Can fit a large man or anyone smaller. Easy to assemble and rolls well. Now if you have carpet, add some carpet slider discs to the bottom legs and make your life easier. Pulls out nicely as well. I haven’t slept on it so that update later. The wheels are a little bit of hassle to install. Definitely use a power drill. By hand with screw driver they include is tiresome. ... show more

This turned out to be much better than I thought! Very heavy when it arrived but overall, great quality fabric, sturdy, & very easy to assemble. I would recommend using a power drill to attach wheels. There are guide marking & some starter holes but they are sort of misleading. Best option is to use your better judgment & use a drill for all 4 holes. ... show more

Easy to assemble and it fits the space well. It's sturdy and well made. However, this chair/bed is not comfy. It's like sleeping on a rock. It definitely needs a topper of some sort.

This sofa bed is really cute and a huge space saver. I needed something small in my office. That being said- its not the most comfortable. Fine for sitting, reading, etc- but definitely not sleeping unless you are a child. I'm 5'4 and barely fit on it and it is definitely not comfortable to sleep all night unless you like a really firm surface. Overall, I really like the sofa and its held up well.
