We definitely love what this adds to the patio of my mother in law's home, which is also on our land, out in the country. In the evening, she likes to go out on the patio, but doesn't like having to bundle up too much. But this heater is perfect for keeping just her small area nice and toasty. Guests really get a kick out of it, they feel like they're out on the patio of a fancy restaurant. I don't think most of them realize that this heater is as affordable as it really is, they assume they cost much more. Setup wasn't difficult. And it works with your typical 20 pound propane tank you refill at the Walmart garden department for only $15. A full tank will last you a good 10 hours of use at max heat. But of course, we don't use it for that much time, only when we're outside for an hour or so. So we'd recommend it to anyone that wants to add a professional touch to their patio, plus stay warm and cozy when it's chilly out. ... show more

These Northern Virginia winters aren't nearly as cold as other places in the county, but it still gets pretty darn chilly at night. This works really well in our home environment, keeping a wide radius comfortable and warm using a reasonable amount of gas. It's tall. It's too tall for our covered patio, but is excellent on a deck or a terrace with an open top. Although skinny and over 7 feet tall, I don't feel there's a huge danger of it tipping over on a windy day. All the same, we break it down for storage when not using it for a while. It's just as professional looking as anything we find at local restaurants with outdoor seating. Easy to assemble and easy to turn on, this is worth the somewhat premium price. ... show more

This is just like the professional units you see at your favorite bars and restaurants on their patios. I can't believe the low price because this is a really well done and quality unit. It's huge, about 7ft and it looks very nice and sleek. Keep the height in mind for your space. It is very easy assembly for one person. Once together it's very easy to use as well. It heats up a large space for sure! It's plenty heavy especially with the propane so it is safe to stay outside. It will stand up to elements but you can take it apart easily to store over the summer. I definitely recommend getting one of these for your outdoor space! ... show more

Took my husband less than an hour to put together- but part of that time was taking all the blue film off the metal top heat shield. The unit looks great- the finish is nice- very classy. Warms up quickly. Seems stable in higher winds. The wheels are nice to make it easy to move around.
