  • Slow performing, inaccurate imaging.
Style: Seek Shot
compared to a FLIR device, even the lower cost Flir One Pro. this device doesn't really earn the $500 price tag it has. The imaging performance is slow to update when scanning and the inaccurate SeekFusion makes reading the thermals hard. You have to constantly adjust the framing between the camera and the thermal image. Maybe a firmware update will fix the issues but out of the box its a No-Go. **Updated** Upgraded firmware on camera and performance is still the same. If you change the distance from where you are standing to the object you are scanning you need to readjust the SeekFusion. I’ve had the FLIR Pro One for over a year and I’ve never had to adjust the camera to the thermal Image. ... show more

  • It works, but not for me. I don't have the patience
Style: Seek Shot
I don't have the time to sit there and edit the settings to get the image I want. It constantly changes as you move it, so very sensitive. I'm not a professional so I feel like I need training to use this. You can def adjust settings and all to get a good image. I have a flir one pro and that's my kind of thermal imager. I feel I need to be close to get the seek camera to make sense without too many adjustments. The floor one pro I just point and shoot. 3 stars because it works, just not for my homeowner needs. Too complicated. ... show more

  • Good starting thermal camera
Style: Seek Shot
It is a nice entry type thermal camera. It has a good resolution and the ability to mix normal and thermal images on real time, help a lot to identify what you are looking. Also, you can edit the image after, changing palette, choosing thermal only or a mix and adding measure point. One important detail, the camera is 9Hz so you have to give it a little time to adjust when you move to another target and the image is a little noise, but for detecting (in my case) overloaded electrical circuits, servers / switches / racks cooling problems it serves it’s purpose. (For the price tag, don’t expect a predator like thermal visor). The touch screen and the menus are a little slow, but no too bad. One important detail, MAKE SURE THE “SEEKVISION” APP IS AVALABLE IN YOUR CONTRY. In my case, looking on the Play Store, it doesn’t show up. If I try to get it using a direct link, I get a message “This app is not available on your country” ... show more

  • Dissatisfied, To say the least.
Style: Seek Shot
I have a company and very busy. Didn't realize I can't return it as a prime member. I'm not very happy with this product. I watched a couple reviews. It looked really good. They state That it has a good range. But it's blurry and can't ever get it fine tuned good enough to really seeing anything. I'm very disappointed I would not recommend it to anyone else. I was shocked because they're a highly rated company. May be some of their other products are good but this one did not meet my standards brewed especially paying $500. And now I can't even return it ... show more

  • Works very well but you must put in the effort to learn how to use it correctly.
Style: Seek Shot
I deducted 1 star because of the learning curve. The first time I opened it charged it and tried to use it I could do little other than switch color palates and switch between infrared and visible light modes. The second time I got very frustrated because of the time lag and trying to hold it steady enough to get an idea of what areas were what temperatures. I got ready to return it and started going through the process when I was asked if I needed some technical help but I decided to wait another day. The third time I started playing around with it I began to understand how it works and realize the technology that I had in my hand and I decided to keep it. The instructions that come with it are nearly useless. I assume that the online instructions must be better. I started figuring it out on my own. I understand why the mixture of good and bad reviews. You must understand the technology here and put in some effort to learn how to use it. It can illustrate the high and low temperatures on the current screen and save a picture or you can stream it to your phone, tablet or PC. You can specify up to 3 points on a current screen and it will display the temperatures. You can designate one of about 7 color palates and see the key to the current scheme on the right with highest and lowest shown numerically to get an idea of the temperature variances on the screen. I practiced on a room with a portable air conditioner vented to a window. Center of airflow low 60’s, ambient room 70’s as set on thermostat, venting hose high 80’s. It works very well. You must correctly set the emissivity. You must have patience ... show more
