This seed and fertilizer spreader works really good and it is super easy to use, the spreader feels very well made and durable, it's also pretty light weight, even with the battery installed and full of fertilizer the weight isn't bad at all, plus the way the handle is designed it makes it easy to hold and it doesn't wear your arms out when using it, the spreader has an adjustable setting knob on the handle from 0 to 5 to control the amount of fertilizer that is disbursed, as well as a spreader guard to control the spread direction, I also like that it does not drain the battery to fast, all in all I am very happy with the overall quality and performance of this spreader, worth the price in my opinion. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am a person who could really benefit from a small hand-held seed/fertilizer spreader like this one from Adisipsoarin. We have a few areas with young plants and even larger ones that I usually fertilize with a general-purpose 10-10-10 fertilizer. Up until now, I always did it manually: scooping out the fertilizer out of the bag and trying to spread it around the plants as well as I could. As such, it's funny that I never thought of actually getting one of these spreaders, until recently when I was browsing on Amazon and saw this model. It seemed almost tailor-made for me, especially since I have a number of Ryobi tools and so I already have the batteries that this machine uses. I received the package with the spreader a few days ago, and looked it over. It seemed very easy to use, having just two adjustments - a material volume knob and a sliding door that sets the spreading angle. The material volume knob sets the amount that the shutter over the port opens where the material flows from the hopper to the rotating impeller disk. Although everything looked very simple, there is nevertheless an instruction manual included that explains all aspects regarding the spreader's use. I had some free time yesterday and went outside to try the spreader out. I made a mix of 10-10-10 and 20-20-20 and dumped it into the hopper for spreading around the base of a bottle-brush tree and lime tree on my property, as well as a young avocado tree. As I soon found out, this ended up being a "torture test" for the spreader, as the fertilizer is moist and kind of oily, so it had a little bit of a hard time feeding into the impeller through the smallish port that's provided in the hopper even with the volume knob turned up all the way. It worked out, however, as long as I kept shaking the hopper around while I was using it, as this helped the difficult material to feed properly. I would imagine that the machine would work flawlessly with grass seed or other dry materials. As it was, it worked fine, and the material was spread in the target locations nice and evenly (MUCH better than trying to distribute it by hand!). The hopper is plenty large enough for small jobs like this one. I didn't even fill it up all the way and was still able to spread enough fertilizer for all three of the trees. The motor that drives the impeller is powerful enough to be sufficient for the job, and in my short experience it seemed to be quite energy-efficient, as the battery I used (even though it hadn't been charged in a while) did no lose a single bar on the battery level gauge after finishing the job. This looks to be a quality-made tool, and I expect it to make my yard-care work easier for years to come! ... show more
