  • Tilting and risk of water overflow, others wonderful. Tips for install/remove
The media could not be loaded. The product is overall nice but not stable with only three brackets provided. The far corner is sinking due to the weight (See 1st picture). I need to 3D print a poster and put it at the far corner (See 2nd picture) to ensure it won't fall down (which will be a big mess for overflow water). So it is better to buy from others (similar products) that have four brackets. For this vendor, you need to provide four brackets (It should not increase the cost too much). Update after two months: it is very nice and shrimps love it and swim and stay there frequently (See added video). With the 3D printed poster at the far corner, there is no concern of breaking. A tip to install/remove. Install it regularly without water inside, use a tube to suck out air (Just use your mouth) and the water will fill in nicely due to lower pressure inside. Similar to removing for cleaning, blow the air inside and the water will lower without surging out. Update the rating from 2-star to 4-star. ... show more

  • Not a fit for 6 out of 8 tanks
Not much to say. I like the concept, but the mounting system lacks anyway to connect to most standard rimmed tanks. While I do have 2 out of my 7 tanks that could possibly accept this, a Tetra 29g which is not setup at this time, and a 14g Aqueon cube (frameless), however that particular cube tank is very thinned wall, and the force needed to lift this out of the water and mount with the needed vacuum is a little too much for that cheap tank. So although I like this idea, the mounts provided will not allow me to use this on these tanks. A 75g Aqueon, 65g Aqueon, Aqueon 46g bow front, two Fluval Flex 15g, and an older 65g hex corner tank. All of these other than the Fluval Flex tanks have a rim that is too wide for the mounts, the 2 Fluval Flex 15g have a curved front that won't allow for a proper mount as well. Considering these two brands are some of the top selling companies for tanks right now, I find this elevator to be very disappointing as the mounts will not readily fit most of their tanks, if any. Considering Aqueon is the largest tank maker in the USA, having a product that won't fit most of their tanks is a poor design choice. So make sure you have a tank that you can actually use with this elevator, or you will be looking at a glass paperweight like I am. ... show more

  • Could be better but works well enough
The seal it creates with water going up is incredible. Setting it up may be a bit of a challenge, but once it's there, it looks nice. My stands weren't tight enough to keep the elevator standing straight, so there was a slight tilt. I had it on my tank for a while but removed it due to the fear of it breaking since the grip wasn't very tight. Would get 5 stars if the stand pieces were a bit thicker to create a stronger hold on my tank ... show more

  • Cool idea. Massive mess potential
I love the idea. If the fudh go up ill post a pic. Couple issues. It is difficult to mount with it totally submerged its up past the clips, as you pull it up the water level sinks, it goes to a level where getting it over the clip without coming out of the water is near impossible. I got a bubble but thankfully it didn't release because it would have overflowed. Finally it doesn't even sit straight, see picture. I love the idea and I can fiddle to make it work so only 4 stars ... show more

  • Impressed, but needs more support
This works as described. I am very pleased and impressed with this product. My only concern is that when it's full with water it does add some weight to it there and the three hooks were not strong enough to hold it up right. It slightly tilts towards the tank. Perhaps making the hooks longer and deeper might help to better distribute the weight of the cube and water inside it ... show more

  • Doesn't make sense
I have no idea what this is for. I ordered it for my 1 fish that has been stressing. The instructions only show how to install the clips. I'm extremely confused by this.

  • Needs a better bracket
The directions show this on one of the smallest tanks ever so i figured it would fit on a rimless 5 gallon. Nope. the brackets are too big and the whole thing just tips over letting a huge rush of water out. That being said, the included screw is too short to reach the glass. I can probably 3D print a few and get it to work but...it's the principle. ... show more

  • Fish Elevator actually works & works well
Such a very cool thing to watch our fish figure out & then watch them use it is just incredible. I can only imagine what they think. We have our equipped to our 55Gal Tank. Unfortunately though, fish that are bigger than 4" dont seem to want to come into the elevator. (I dont blame them!) Now to look for a BIGGER ONE! But, for starters... this one is a MUST HAVE! ... show more
