These work great! I purchased one box of them almost a year ago because my husband and I were starting to feel a little unsafe in the shower. We had used a bath mat in the tub a few times but I hated that the bottom (underside) would easily get moldy and was hard to clean. Using conditioner on your hair in the shower makes the tub slick after a couple of times so I thought it was best to give these a try. When your neighbor is a paramedic the last thing your want is to have to call him while you're hurt and laying naked in the tub!! 🤣 Since we only have one bathroom I hated knowing that we would have to wash off in the sink one night until the glue on these set up... but it was well worth it! The stickers are approximately 3 1/4 inches and have a rough side to them. They are a little rough but not overly and they don't bother our feet to step on them. Actually, after using them for a year and scrubbing them they are not as rough as when we applied them. The backing easily peels off and they are so simple to apply. I used the included spatula to rub over each one hoping that it would help them to stick better. I hate to say that I really did not have a specific pattern in mind when placing them in the tub. I knew that I only wanted to use half of the package which was 12. The other 12 are still in the box in case I need to replace any. We rarely take baths anymore but one thing I thought about the day after applying these was that I should not have put them towards the back of the tub. I would keep that in mind if you do like to take a bath on occasion. Give yourself plenty of room at the back of the tub in order to sit down and/or scoot down to lay in the water. These would not feel very comfortable on your hiney.. and they certainly would hurt to scoot across! 😳 Too late for me but hopefully I've helped someone else out with this tip. The day after these were applied I checked the edge of one and felt that it did not stick down all the way. I was worried that they all would be like that or that they would peel off when I took a shower. I pushed it down with the spatula and by hand and waited several more hours to shower and have had no more problems. All 12 are stuck perfectly! I also should have thought about purchasing the grey colored stickers just because they probably would not show dirt after using them for a while. So far the white ones have stayed clean and are in the same place that I put them. They work great to keep us from slipping in the shower. I ordered a couple bath mats at various times for my small shower and they just didn't work. There was always the issue of where to put the wet, heavy mat after showering. If you dont dry or drain it properly, it can get moldy. They're also too large and bulky and some don't allow for proper drainage. I finally decided to try these individual stick ons and I do not regret my purchase. They are easy to apply and stay in place making my shower experience much safer and cleaner! ... show more

First - and this is a minor thing - even numbers do not make effective or eye pleasing patterns. Not enough to lose a star but something to note; it would have been nice to have an odd number of stickers to work with. Second, take time to choose your pattern well. I recommend a flashlight as the transparent stickers are hard to see unless you have side lighting. Ideally, you'll design a pattern that guarantees one foot will always have part of one and possibly two stickers underneath. As for prep, I feel this is obvious but you need a clean and bone dry tub to start with. If you have a fiberglass tub you can rinse with hot water, then add baking soda and scrub with a normal cloth rag, then spray down with a mix of vinegar and isopropyl, then fill the tub with enough hot water to cover the bottom (but not necessarily more than half full) and let soak for 10 minutes, and finally drain the solution, add more baking soda and buff one more time to get any lingering scum you might have missed. Rinse one more time with hot water (ideally using a sprayer attachment working from the back of the tub towards the drain so as to capture any loose debris) and let it dry. I did that and my tub was spotless. Then I took my time and applied the stickers. Time will tell how well they hold up and whether and nasty bacteria starts to build up underneath (which shouldn't happen if you pressed out all the air). Definitely think these will make the tub much safer for kids and adults during showers although they might be abrasive during baths but still I'd say the tradeoff is worth it for safety. ... show more

These were easy to install and looked great. However, we put them in my daughters bathtub and they were very rough on her bottom. She wouldn’t take a bath with them in so we removed them and put down a silicone mat instead
